@shereeburlington Yes, URSTYLE choose the sets that go on their front page, and they seem to be restricting it to Fashion sets only
Dollmakers, Artists and now Interior Designers are understandably upset!

Wow, yes, you’re right.... I wonder why? Is that the demographic that’s being targeted? The front page is often the so called “marketing” page.
I also noticed that while in the past, they would pull out an item from the featured set to showcase on the front page, now all the items are from one or maybe two companies and are not in the sets at all. More marketing? Maybe it’s a way to pay the bills!
I thought maybe a computer algorithm was selecting the sets and maybe @admin doesn’t even realize that the selections are limited to just fashion now. (Although I also noticed that recently, there are no sets added over weekends which kinda doesn’t sound like it’s a computer...)

I noticed the move to only fashion on the front page too. My guess would be that fashion brings in more revenue. There are so many incredibly talented doll makers, artists, and interior designers on Urstyle. It would be nice to give them some kind of recognition.

@ollie Yes before there was some variety and now just only fashion stuff.
Honestly I can’t wait for timeline on front page..with people that we follow and their sets instead of what is now

@auntiehelen True, art members will migrate to other platforms. I know from one member who has already found a new home somewhere else.

@corfu111 @auntiehelen I know of quite a few members who's interest lay with interior design and art that have moved to other platforms which is a shame as they are all very talented.
@Fassionista @debraelizabeth As for marketing/revenue purposes I was thinking the same but still notice there are interior items on the front page. Unfortunately I have found that frequently using Urstyle items if you link to the website the page is no longer found, meaning the database is not up to date and the items on Urstyle a very old. Hence I do not use a lot because of this.
At the end of the day I still think this is about the community/members, inclusion and encouragement.

@auntiehelen I actually thought I saw a doll, it was a one of though and a few months back now, it was probably fashion related though. I think Fassionista and Debraelizabeth may be right, all to do with marketing. We can live in hope for doll and art sets to be posted front page and maybe gently remind occasionally

Hello @admin , if your target demographic is women, and I would assume it is, then here's the first thing to think about. Women are all about pretty things. Doesn't matter if it's fashion, dolls, interiors or art, if it catches our eye because it's pretty - we stop to look. That's where you need to focus: we stop to look. Selling things is easy once you get us to look, simply because we've now stopped to pay attention.
You can't do that with just the fashion sets though. Our eye is going to skim over them if we aren't just about fashion, and many women aren't. The younger set may be into clothing, but they also get into bling, and pretty things, and once again, you must get them to stop and look.
Dolls, interiors, and art sets are all to your benefit. If they catch the eye, they catch attention. If you want to make money here, don't just focus on the young women. Focus on all women. Go for the "pretty", go for the bold, go for the eye-catching.Just something to think about.

All I've ever seen are fashion sets and those people selling products. I noticed it shortly after I started on URSTYLE! I hit the URSTYLE word to see what I could find and I found it. I do wish other sets, besides fashion, would be recognized as well I do not know about the rest of you but I have never had a set featured on this page.

I have continually communicated my displeasure to @admin regarding the neglect of the art and doll community. If you all remember, as I do very well, Polyvore did the same thing towards the end. It became all about selling and not creating. I was so elated when I could start creating dolls again after the PV debacle but lately the site is so hard to navigate, slow, all fashion, and no love to the many doll makers, art lovers and interior design members. I have missed two contests now due to site issues and it is continual. I am so frustrated right now and the sad part is, they wouldn't even notice if the doll, art, etc communities left Urstyle...

@cindu12 You are right, Cindy.... we are so few in number, but we just have to keep the pressure on them !! Now that they have started to neglect the Interior sets too that boosts our numbers a fair bit!!

@auntiehelen It seems to be the same pattern as PV, every member was important and each community was represented. then all of a sudden fashion took center stage and then poof, it was gone. I suspect since this is a free site, they depend on the sales from those sets, but I have often thought that charging a reasonable monthly membership would help with revenue and change the dynamics of the site completely. Not sure I am in the majority on that feeling, but I just want a site to create and call home and not worry that every time I log in, something will be wrong with the site. Anyway, may be a pipe dream, but can still hope...

@gemini @Ollie I miss seeing the art and dolls sets too. I would love to be able to have a group that I can join for this, but I've look at groups any many I looked at say "only art sets, no fashion" does anyone know of a group a can join that is art/doll that I can join? I'm i correct that if you join a group all your sets are publish in it? Hoping you can find a group. Hugs to all, Fran
