Hi, Let me start by saying that the "equestrian art and fashion " contests are a fresh and wonderful idea and I eagerly wanted to participate when I first saw them posted. After posting a set to both, I noticed something and I thought maybe it was my mistake or the definition of "equestrian " was being very loosely interpreted to mean "any set having to do with horses". However, (and I hate to be that person and be nitpicky but I am a stickler for rules) the actual definition of the word equestrian means: 1) relating to horse RIDING, 2) a rider or performer ON horseback,3) a person who rides horses professionally or very skillfully (not a novice). With that being said, the entries are very well done, however, the majority of them are just horses. I am just wondering if this contest is truly about "equestrian art/fashion" or just has anything to do with horses. I ask because if it is the latter, then I would enter a different type of set. Sorry, if I seem to be picky, it's just I tend to "go by the book" when it comes to rules and such. And rules are there for a reason. Again I applaud the idea of an equestrian contest, but I would appreciate some clarification on what the group's definition of equestrian encompasses. Thanks for your time.
