@helencampbell LOL yeah they are! I did one and there was a hand coming out of the middle of her chest!! Looked like something from the movie "Alien" so mastering the verbiage is the biggest challenge and not so much in the creation but more about what not to show! And you Helen are doing very well, so I may pick your brain a bit! Cannot wait to see your Jester creations, I know they are going to be amazing!! 🥰

I have made several changes, adjustments over the last month and the main one is to not feel like I have to work 10-12 hours a day! Even though I work from home, which is a blessing, but you forget to watch the clock a little closer and wham! you have completely drained yourself of any stamina or energy you have! Still adjusting that way of thinking since my Dad really instilled a strong sense of work ethic that after 50 years of work life, is a hard habit to break! Time on a beautiful, white sandy beach without a computer and anything to make me laugh, sounds perfect! From your mouth to God's ear!

Tracy - Ohhh, I definitely need to check my sets and messages a lot more than I do; I am so late with this Thank You!!! I am so surprised and happy to receive 1st Place and also 13th Place!! @girlyideas Good point! I often wonder where I am getting the stamina to go on, but it does help that I work from home, a little!!

So sorry having to go through someone passing on a job site, that is just so sad and a difficult position to be in having to complete all the WC paperwork, what a sorrowful task! Sounds as if that company is still trying to find it's rhythm, a very hard environment to be in every day. I hope it will improve with time, and as is usually the way of things, it will all work out exactly as it should in the end! You will find your way, I am certain of that!!

I take that to be use one of the Dolls in the Collection and not to edit, I even saw another post where you said you thought the directions were misunderstood, and was doing more than we had to. I took that to be because some had edited the Doll from the Collection. Was that it? Now I've seen more sets where the Doll is edited, guess I'm just a little confused and wanted to check especially when some of the edited sets received a thumbs up.

@cindu12 I was BRAIN DEAD when I got home last night at 5:30. "STINKY-MEANIE" was a direct result from a week filled with WONDERFUL, very social clients coming into the office to have their taxes done. Some of them with a rich historical connection to the (once) small town I grew up in. The want to be writer in me wants to interview them more and create a coffee table book filled with their history and photos. This area has changed so much in the last 100 years.

I see loads of talent in this contest. Working with black and white photo art is tough. Pinterest has loads of black and white photos with a pop of color or just black and white. That is where I pulled from. It's infinitely harder to remove flesh tones.

@laughingdog - Most everyone had a tough time with what a pop or a touch of color is and others choose not to follow the rules and use more than one color in their set. Your set as a whole should be mostly black and white or grayscale. A pop or a touch of color is supposed to be minimal and not overwhelm the black and white. One single color. You followed the rules - Black and white and a pop or a touch. My examples were all different, some had more color pop and others had less. You still know when you look at it that it's only 3 colors and the color does not overwhelm the black and white. xoxo

@cindu12 The blizzard was definitely a game changer! I got tired of getting stuck in snow since I had a '75 Road Runner with big wide tires (they are horrible in snow)!

@girlyideas Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I do enjoy making dolls, particularly when the contest provides a collection. For some reason I do better creatively when there are more constraints, lol. Too much choice is a bad thing for me!

Hard to believe we are at the end of another year!! Thank you to all who have supported the Divas Group through the year! Watching each of you become stellar doll makers has been such a pleasure to see. With each contest, I have seen amazing success watching you create your own style and I can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for us!!
