No matter what I do, it will not upload items. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried with FireFox and Chrome browsers. Thanks.

@vn1ta I don't want to be annoying, but that doesn't always work. As it doesn't always show if an image is protected or not.
-
@myrrael And how can we see if the image is protected? I didn't know there was that option
-
@vn1ta If you right click on an image and it doesn't load, or it gives a pop-up, or you get extra code in your new window (which you can really only see if you use Inspect Element, but that's a bit far for most people).
( Blast, now i'm on Pinterest, drooling over new shoes.... )
-
@myrrael Ok, I'll try it and let you know how it goes.
-
@myrrael Oh yes, I've also seen that Oliwia suggested that we use "Copy image location" option (when we right-click on the picture we want to upload)
As for inspect element, I'm not sure that many people would understand it -
@ni-ke Good luck! If you ever come across an image that won't behave, let me know and I'll check. Item hunting is quite exhausting, I find XD
-
@vn1ta Yeah, "Copy image location" should work, but it sometimes just doesn't and then you get people scratching their head because they basically cannot see why on earth it didn't work. If they get feedback from the img page, it's a lot handier.
-
@myrrael If right click > Open image in new tab didn't work for me (some images just get automatically downloaded to my computer that way), I've used "Copy image location" and that always worked
I didn't want to confuse anyone, I made the tutorial to help people the best way I can. If the image is protected, maybe it's the best if we don't use it... -
-
-
@myrrael Maybe it would be good to mention on the forum what happens when the image is protected, so that users are not confused
I honestly had no idea that we can see that
-
@vn1ta It would get too confusing. I rather do this case by case until I found more info on what I messaged you about.
-
@myrrael Okay
-
@Myrrael How can we import items from out files on computer? How do you go about that? I tried uploading into my Tumblr but it failed to be added. Thanks.
-
@ni-ke It's not yet possible to upload files from one's computer. It's in the works, though
-
@Ni-ke @Myrrael You could try to upload items from your computer to Pinterest or some other website (I use my Blogger account because Pinterest sometimes transforms png images to regular (solid background) images - not sure why).
When an item is uploaded to e.g. Blogger, you just right-click on the photo, copy the image address and upload it to Urstyle like other items
It's truly long and complicated, so I'd recommend using this method only for items from your computer that you really like and need
Hope this helps!
Best wishes! -
@vn1ta True. Just not directly from the computer.
-
@myrrael I think all of us are SO hoping for the Clipper tool
I personally can't wait!
-
@vn1ta Same. I have some items waiting that are much too hard to crop and have to cut out first before uploading. Rather not have someone not from here use it simply because I uploaded it to a host.
-
@myrrael Oh, I understand. Maybe you can upload your items to a secret board on Pinterest - that way no one will get them except you
I remembered this because I made a secret board for Urstyle items because I didn't want to flood the front page of Pinterest with texts, frames, clothes and other.
