November 11, 1918
Poland regained its independence on November 11, 1918, after 123 years of partitions by Austria-Hungary, Germany, and Russia. On November 11, 1918, the Polish Military Organization's secret departments, demobilized soldiers, and legionnaires disarmed the Germans in Warsaw and other Polish towns.

Happy Independence Day, Poland! My daughter just came from there to teach English to young students. Now she is in Turkey doing the same thing. We also had a Pope from there who is now a Saint, St. John Paul. So proud of Poland! (And thank you for informing us about Poland) Hugs and warm breezes where you are. §hy
