the wheels continue, can't leave comments, wheels, can't even like , not a single heart turns red, tried to create, wheels.... anybody know when this will end??????? it has been going on for months with some days being worse than others. today for me is pretty bad. will probably just bag it for today.

@heartsongs ~ Yes, it is not good. I am not sure when or if it will get better. I get frustrated and then I have to stop and shut down for awhile. I am sure that the servers are in overload. It has been this way for weeks now. Nobody can answer our questions for sure. who knows? Hang in there like we all have to. Hugs sweetie.....

@beverly thanks so much! yeah, just best on some days not to stay and keep trying, and just move on to other things. It is just disappointing. Urstyle started out being so communicative and now with this issue, nothing.I was told in April it would be fixed by now... Glad we have each other to check in with! Have a good day. Yes, right now item organizer with the spinning circles. I've learned to clip to both of my sites at the same time that way if I have an urge to create something I've just clipped and if UrStyle is acting up I just go to my other site. UrStyle still #1 for me though

@heartsongs I have experienced this for over a month so far. Some days it's fine, in others the site is slow, the clipper dies and nothing appears during creation or the items take forever to show up . Idk what's going on

I am so over it! It started a little slow this morning, and it has gotten worse during the day. You are lucky if You can do or go anywhere on this site. I finally finished a set this morning, and that is all I have been able to do. I have signed on and signed off many times only to find not much is working on Urstyle. I hope all of this is due to updates with the site. However, at this point I am not sure one way or another. It will be worth all the frustration if updates and site maintenance is the problem. If not, there will not be very many happy members. Just had to vent!! I am sure most of you feel the same way. I keep asking myself, just how many weeks does this go on!! @beverly Same thing here. I've been trying off and on all day to do anything on Urstyle. It works for a minute and then nothing but spinning circles. This has happened for me most days for two weeks. I get rare moments where I can work on a set, but most of the time it's a hot mess.

Bev, I totally understand. I'm glad I got on here at my office because when I get home I won't even bother. I think I'll have a Netflix Friday night instead (less stressful). Many people can only create on the weekends. I'm sure statistically Friday night has got to be the busiest. It's the one day I want to create and every Friday for months now has been like pulling teeth. It got even worse once school let out for summer. There are a lot of new members. Everyone have a good weekend, Hopefully Saturday will be better. Take care.

@beverly I think I have said before every morning for me at a certain time I can do nothing, this has been happening for weeks (live is southern hemisphere) but of late anytime night or day lots of spinning circles, I think though I maybe a bit luckier as I do live in southern hemisphere when you are asleep I am awake which makes it a bit easier going on Urstyle for some reason for me. I also find I have to refresh the page a lot to get the system to work sometimes but sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. If the traffic on the site is affecting the way it works, it could mean the servers are not coping with the load, they are not cheap .... Just a thought. All have a good day/night Cheers Ollie

@Ollie agree with what you say and have thought both things too. Around 8pm EST the site always seems to time out.. Given that the site is working on GMT+2, that would be 2am where Urstyle is located. Many companies set up routine maintenance, backups, etc., to run sometime during the night when they are certain people are not working. I work for a Swedish company, but am based in the USA. In the USA, we sometimes have the same problems when we are working, because in Sweden they have planned updates during the night that won't interfere with those working in Europe. Big updates are done on weekends. Urstyle can't do that because they have users in ALL time zones. They could buy extra servers, but it is exactly what you say.....EXPENSIVE choice for a company especially one that never expected the impact that the shut down of PV would have on them. And they are probably still trying to figure out if they are making money in their new situation. Bigger market share does not alway mean profit. Further, because the community forum generally always works, even when "create" aspect does not, it makes me think the same thing, more servers are needed to handle the traffic for creating sets. But since the majority of us using the site are NOT making money for them, as frustrating as it is, it could be worse..we could have no platform at all.. Hugs, love to you all!!!

@sharee64 @Ollie ~ I agree with you totally. I have said that before many times. I will have to find a copy of the message that I had with Damian. He did mention the money factor and the servers. That is the biggest problem they have. Also, I was reading about the business opportunities in Poland. Many investors are saying do not invest in Poland. I will have to go back and find that also (if anyone is interested in reading it). There are many if's, ands, and buts when it comes to Urstyle. It is very interesting to read of their beginning. Polyvore was not the salvation for SSENSE who are located in Canada. I really believe from what I have read that Polyvore toward the end was in dire straits. This type of business can be difficult as a money maker this day and time. I was very unhappy to say the least when Polyvore sold to SSENSE. I only hope that Urstyle will not count their chickens before they are hatched. I only wish the best for them. I am very pleased with the way the site is set up. However, there was a tweet from Urstyle dated yesterday, June 20............

As stated, they were having issues with the hosting provider, which is definitely related to the servers. A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers. It appears that the temporary issues are the problem with the site today. Anyway, just wanted to express a few more words. @Ollie @sharee64 ~ @DianneC and I discussed this in a message yesterday regarding asking Urstyle about membership fees. I said that would be a good idea to get the feel from them, even though there is a place for donations. I would be glad to pay a membership fee. However, that would not solve the problem of the slowness of the servers and the hosting provider. Let us all think about this. If it would help Urstyle, then I am fine with doing that.

@Beverly I would love to read that message if you find it....LOL, for what it worth, I am hoping to go back to Europe this fall..and on my list to visit is Warsaw Poland...as much as I lbuy every trip to Europe, maybe I should call it investing
all joking aside..it was obvious near the end of Polyvore, there were some "cheap brand associations" that I think they saw as cash flow, but in fact weakened the original amazing concept they started out with. @Ollie and @Beverly, like you both, I would be willing to pay a fee. Paying for Netflix, or Spotify, for example is a way of life. Membership here would have less audience than either platform..but then Urstyle would not have the same level of high expenses associated with entertainment memberships!!! Thank you both for your insite into this topic and proposing ways to make this place better, instead of giving up!!

It does sound like lots of possibilities as to why the ongoing, often frustrating problems on this wonderful site. A small membership fee may be an answer, a monthly fee would be difficult for some of us, but i do understand the sites needs to be able to profitable to stay alive. I hope some kind of resolution can be found soon. Sadly, a site that doesn't work is like not having one at all and I think that is the frustration growing in so many of us...hugs

Hello everybody! Just wanted to add that I am all in for contributing via a membership fee. Let's help the site staying alive! I could imagine a two level membership concept, in order to stay free of cost for the users who cannot or don't want to pay for a service and for those who want to contribute. just an idea.
