Amazing Sizing Discovery!
-
Okay, I expect many of you to laugh at me for being so excited over something you probably already know, but I just discovered a sizing trick that I LOVE and am sharing it with those of you who aren't yet aware of this cool feature.
Ever notice that, when working on a Set, most items can be sized using only the four corners of the image? Yet, some other items have a square-shaped "sizing box" in the center of each side/edge of the item image, making the item resizable by perspective. You can thin it or thicken it to fit a scene better, provided this 'center' adjustment box is present. It can be very frustrating when it is not.
Well, it turns out that if you save a set as a Draft and then reopen it, all items will have the additional square sizing box in the center of each side/edge!
What?!?
Yes! What I've been doing is loading an item, working on its size and placement, and when I need it to be even more precise, I simply save the set as a Draft, reopen it, and: viola! With some items, I make a bunch of duplicates/copies before saving the set as a Draft so that when I reopen it, I can resize all the copies without saving and reopening the set over and over.
This is a great feature/'trick', as it helps make frames and backgrounds, any anything else, wider or more narrow, depending on your need. YAY!

Now here is the only thing I could have told you!! YES, this is great! I open and close so often I found this early.

@funkyjunkygypsy I notice that the sizing box also pops up by moving or resizing the item then go to a different item and go back to the first item and the sizing box is there. Also if I just save as a draft but don't close out, that will some time make it appear...hope that makes sense

@cindu12 I'll try it! THANK YOU!

@funkyjunkygypsy Hi Dear, Yes, I happened across this awhile ago. It would however be great if new features were communicated to us in some way, or if there was a certain place to find new features that we could go read. Cheers Ollie

@ollie I bet there is an announcement of some sort regarding new features, and if there isn't, there should be! It's a very cool little 'trick' and I'm sure my sets will be better now that I found it! xox

@FunkyJunkyGypsy you can also get the sizing feature just by using the "undo" button!!!! Easier than making a draft
-
@artgivesmelife now THAT I didn’t know. I must try that!

@Fassionista I just figured that out and wow! Game changer!
