NEW GROUP solving the problem of adding contest

I'm not able to add contest to my old group URSTYLE FASHIONISTA so I created a new one and it works perfectly:
FELL FREE TO JOIN MY NEW GROUP and my new contest

I'm having trouble across the board joining groups. When I go to the links, they don't say "Join" and when they do, and I go back into the group, it doesn't recognize me as a member
This has been going on for a few weeks and I can't seem to find resolution to this. Even when I'm invited, the groups still don't recognize me as a member. -

It says I Need to join the group but I already did)https://urstyle.com/groups/interior-designers - This group I had to get an invite for in order to get in. This one works now but it took 3 tries and Asia helped me.

I've been hesitant to join any other groups because of this issue. The groups say I'm in but when I go into a contest it says I have to be a member of the group. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks so much for the help!
