Question on the new Updates
-
This particular update below for collections is a little unclear, to me anyway, and I am probably just confused but I don't see any kind of alphabetical order in my collections. I have cleared the cache several times and rebooted and no change, can someone help?
"Collections are displayed in alphabetical order in the Creator - as many of you have requested" -
When you are creating a set and scrolling through your Collections, they are now arranged in Alphabetical Order. I prefer the ability to arrange them myself, in a drag-and-drop method, on the page of Collections itself.
Go into CREATE and then to MY COLLECTIONS and you should see them re-arranged. That screwed me up, LOL, because I spent a great deal of time organizing them by subject and on the Collections Page. Now I have to rename them all to have them shown in the order I prefer.

@funkyjunkygypsy Thank you sweetie! I really appreciate the response and I figured it was something easy to figure out.
Sorry you have to re-do all your hard work and I agree, I like being able to arrange my collections how I like them, but baby steps, I am sure they will get there! Have a great weekend darlin!!

Dear @funkyjunkygypsy drag and drop feature for rearranging collections and items within collections is on Urstyle's to-do list and will be provided asap
Alphabetical order of collections was requested by many users for easier organization, so admins created this update. I hope that you understand.
Have a great day!

Thank you so much for this fabulous news, to you and to all UrStyle staff!

Love the new updates so thanks to the URSTYLE team for their good work!
I've encountered a new problem since the updates have gone in.....I'm now unable to import items that are too small for the clipper. I used to be able to import any size item by just using the link. Is this going to be fixed? I also have noticed that I'm unable to import from some sites now..items don't show up. Running Windows 10 and Google Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 . Thanks! -
@vn1ta THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Tempesta-Artica @FunkyJunkyGypsy You are most welcome, dear friends!
@eyesondesign0181 Thank you for letting me know about this, dear. Another user reported being unable to upload small images (in bulk from Pinterest). As I understood admins, we just need to open each image separately (as shown in this video) in order to upload it on URSTYLE. However, I will ask if there is any restriction to the size of the potential imports.
As for the sites that you're unable to upload from - please post the links of those sites and admins will check them as soon as possible.
Have a great day everyone!

@vn1ta thanks hun but I’m speaking of items that are too small ( less than 300 x 300 pxl) or too narrow for the clipper to recognize....still unable to get them to show up. As for specific sites to check where the clipper works but items don’t appear, here are two for checking https://www.williams-sonoma.com/ and https://www.potterybarn.com/. Thanks!!
-
@eyesondesign0181 I've checked with admin and he told me that items shouldn't be under 280x280 in order to be uploaded successfully. He also said that Clipper won't recognize items smaller than those dimensions
I will forward your message to him to check what could be done

@vn1ta thanks but it would be very beneficial if we could still upload those smaller items by hand! It worked fine until the last update.
-
@eyesondesign0181 I understand and I have explained this to the admin
We'll see if there is a technical possibility for that, considering the new system structure. I hope it will be okay. In any case, I will get back to you after getting a response

@vn1ta Thank you so much......you're appreciated!!!

Dear @eyesondesign0181 , I have heard back from the administrator. He informed me that Urstyle is not able to accept images smaller than 280x280. He also told me that this setting was active from the beginning and, if you were able to upload smaller items, that must have been a Clipper bug. This setting was also the same on Polyvore (I remember having problems with certain narrow shadows, inscriptions, arrows and other set embellishments). For now, that decision is effective. However, there might be some changes in the future when the site further develops and when priority updates and issues are resolved. I hope that you understand me.
As for the mentioned problematic sites ( https://www.williams-sonoma.com/ and https://www.potterybarn.com ), have you tried opening each image separately or right-click > Open image in a new tab?
-
@vn1ta Hi Anita, yes I have but will try again. Potentially the items didn't upload during site difficulties the other day. For the smaller image issues - please note that it was not a "clipper bug". The clipper cannot pick up the smaller items or narrow sized items but I was always able to upload by copying the link and adding it that way. Are you saying that this will no longer work permanently? If so this is very unfortunate.
-
@eyesondesign0181 So, you were using the "Add items" button to upload small images to URSTYLE? I've just checked with admin and he told me that "Add items" button uses the same backend services as Clipper, which means that same rules should apply for both.
I hope that you'll be able to upload items from the above mentioned sites - please let me know how that goes.
-
@eyesondesign0181 P.S. Please note that images smaller than the required 280x280 are usually in a very low resolution, so it is better to use the larger ones anyway
I sincerely hope that this won't be a big issue. But if it is, please let the admin know in his topic here ("PLACE FOR SUGGESTIONS") : https://urstyle.com/topic/447258/place-for-suggestions.
