Ripon Hills High School’s Class of 2017 graduated a whole year ago. And now, those lucky enough to leave and pursue their dreams have decided to return home and reconnect with their loved ones and family. To them, the town is more vibrant than ever; there are several new opened coffee shops and everyone’s beloved skate park is slowly being turned into what looks like Ripon Hills’ very first shopping mall.
But for those who have stayed, Ripon Hills is as dull and uneventful as ever. It’s way too hot and miserable and the people are getting more annoying and ignorant with each passing day. There’s nothing to do, other than spend what seems to be the best years of their lives in rundown bars drinking cheap whiskey together with the town’s drunks.
The arrival of several familiar faces sure do begin to spice things up a little, as the wild parties from their high school days slowly make an appearance or two; followed by several earth shattering news and most importantly romance. Feelings that were left unsaid will be finally uttered thanks to some liquid courage and secrets that have been kept for ages will be revealed.
It will be a summer everyone will want to forget.
RULES:
• The characters are semi-premade, meaning you base your audition around that tiny bit of information and create a story around it. You know the deal.
• The usual roleplay rules of godmodding and mary-sues also take place. Think of your characters as real people i.e. don’t make your characters perfect and flawless. Give them depth, character development – perfect doesn’t mean interesting.
• Communicate with one another – almost all the characters have history with one another. That means exchange ideas, consult one another when it comes to writing a story that includes one of more of the members’ characters and etc. No one likes when their character is portrayed differently than imagined, so be respectful.
• Be nice to one another – drama within the roleplay is fine – we all love when our fictional characters throw shade at one another, but make sure it doesn’t cross over to real life.
• You can’t change the faceclaims. The whole point of choosing these people is because I wanted to use faceclaims that have ton of photos together and are friends in real life – you get the point. With that in mind, don’t pick the character because you like the faceclaim, pick the character because you feel drawn to them and are inspired to write for them.
• This is a story writing roleplay. So if you prefer other ways of roleplaying, this group might not be the one for you.. . .

Well read and eloquent - likes to use big words and to intimidate people (read: Ripon Hills' townies). Despite coming from a well off family, Jo is quite economic when it comes to her money (although she does enjoy a good retail therapy every now and then). Biography:
- Moved to Ripon Hills straight after her parents' divorce. Had a really difficult time adjusting to the small town and its small-minded people. For the longest time she didn't want to admit to herself that she is normal - often put out this front of being this big city girl and talked about how things were done differently back in the city.
- Has never really cared about what people think about her and loved to leave the townies in pure shock after saying something quite controversial. The girls started rumors about how she behaved in NYC and often slut-shamed her because of her shameless flirting (most of it she did on purpose to piss of the other girls)
- Really, really, really loves and respects her mom and during high school spent most of her free time helping her out in the salon. The two are incredibly close and Jo often refers to her mother as her bestest friend.
- Began dating Richie Carson - the quarterback that apparently every girl had a crush on, thus getting on everyone's bad side. Unlike the rest, Richie didn't care about what people had to say about Jo. He liked her for who she was - often saying that he saw right through her and thus the two falling madly in love with one another and dating for the next three years.
- They started making plans; Jo got scared and told small white lies that turned into bigger ones that she's never told till this very day. She and Richie broke up straight after prom night. It was best for the two and Jo moved to NYC almost right away.
- Loves that she is living in New York again and that she doesn't have to choose between two coffee shops. The big city life has sort of spiraled her out of control, but luckily she has someone to keep her grounded from time to time. Yes, it sucks that she's doing this whole friends with no benefits thing with one of her ex-boyfriend's best friends, but at the same time it's exciting and it makes Jo's life a little bit more thrilling.
- For the first time she doesn't know how to act around an ex. And maybe her latest hook-up has something to do with it, but then again there are the white lies, repressed feelings, self-loathing and most importantly guilt.
Secret:
- Despite what she says, she got accept to both UCLA and NYU – RICHARD’S plans about their future scared her and she wanted to avoid ending up like her mother.
- Drunkenly hooked up with BLAKE and despite promising to never speak of it again, they have repeated the same mistake a couple of more times and now can’t stop thinking about one another.

JO AGUADO - At first Agnes was worried that a Big city girl would come in and steal her thunder. She wasn’t wrong to be worried but quickly learned to get along with the girl after getting help on coming out. They’ve been good friends since and have kept in touch
EMMA HARTLEY - The girl next door had always been a threat. Both were seen as pretty and both wanted some of the same things. So Agnes went after her hard in middle school. But by High School Agnes had bigger fish to fry and was turning a new leaf so she started being kinder and slowly a friendship rose from the ashes of something hateful.
BLAKE JEONG - One of her life savers in High School, Blake was Agnes’s ‘beard’. For several months he willingly pretended to be her boyfriend even though all he was getting was a few kisses.

ANA MORLEY - The one that walked away. Agnes knew Ana would never stand for being a secret lover or for being ashamed of her sexuality. She also knows letting her go has been her biggest regret.
MONIKA EVANS - While she was her co-captain, Agnes still controls Monika. The cheer team was the only thing they were ever on equal footing for. The friendship is there but it’s very hard to see however both do care.
FRANKIE CARTER - Agnes was definitely NOT the one who started the nickname Snitch B*tch after a homophobic comment. She was also innocent of ratting Frankie out to her father in a case of irony over some underage drinking.
SUSANNE COOPER - There’s to much anger there for Agnes to ever patch everything up but she wants to try. She just knows it’s going to backfire.
Biography:
Born for a life of fortune, Agnes Maciver was never one for anything less then luxury. She had a real silver spoon in her mouth as a baby and all the attention of her family. But as she grew older, her mother found her less easy to control. She was harsh with her only daughter, taking it upon herself to shape her into the perfect society girl.Agnes grew cruel like her mother, having room in her heart for only Andrew and her Christian Louboutins. She rose to Queen Bee almost immediately and ran Ripon Hills Middle School with an iron fist. It was in middle school Agnes discovered something extraordinary. At only 13 Agnes knew she didn't like boys. Sure she had already broken up with her first boyfriend by the time they graduated and they had done a lot of making out, but Agnes did it to be the trendsetter.
In Freshman year Agnes admitted to her brother, a senior in High School, captain of the football team and student body president, that she was Lesbian. He took it in stride, but knew his parents would not. With his help, Agnes kept it very well hidden from everyone. But she slipped up in the second semester of her Freshman year. Blake Jeong could have ruined her life and instead he became her boyfriend.
They rose to be a power couple quickly with Agnes taking over as head cheerleader and Blake becoming first Quarterback instead of alternate. They ran the school together and made people jealous. It was with his and Jo's help that she came out to everyone upon being crowned Prom Queen for her third year in a row.
He secret relationship with Ana Morley quickly came to light and Agnes was thrilled. Even throughout Agnes's parents disowning her, Ana stood by her side. But Agnes knew she would lose her.
And lose her she did. After six months waitressing in a high quality restaurant Agnes met the producer of the next big kids show. She had of course auditioned and when he showed up at her restaurant she didn't know what to expect. It was something she would come to regret but she went home with him that night and bought herself a job or fear blacklisting and threats.
Ana had been disgusted and had ended their relationship. Three weeks later filming began, and Agnes began dating the teen hearthrob of Hollywood, Brandon Fleet.

Mom – Soo Jin Jeong (née Kwok) – She’s tough on Angel because she wants him to succeed like she only imagined she could had she grown up in America. She tried extra hard to assimilate in the culture of a completely new and different country and expects him to be as hardworking, if not more. She shows her affection in providing food during his study breaks and showing up to his club/sport activities.
Dad – Young Jeong – He’s the patriarch of the family, but much more soft-spoken than Soo Jin. She's definitely the reason he got elected mayor a while back. He’s a quiet figure in the corner, probably judging you and devising a diagram of how to make your life easier and better, if your name is Wing Jeong. It wasn’t his decision to come to America, but after many talks with his wife, she convinced him that life would be better here than South Korea. So he's content with life and made do with his current situations, very respected in the community though he's not much of a talker. He’s unaware of the pressure Angel feels he gives off and is overall pleased with how his son is doing, though Angel wouldn’t know it since he doesn’t show much emotion to begin with.

Josephina (Jo) Aguado – Friends through Richie when she first arrived their sophomore year. Very supportive of the two and sad that they broke up after high school. And since they went to the same school, they stayed close to each other while treading new territory in college. She gradually became more than a friend and she’s been on his mind more than he’d like to admit.
Emma Hartley – Friends through Richie and get along very well, since both of them are top of their class and almost shared the valedictorian spotlight (in which his parents are upset he didn’t get it).
Richard (Richie) Carson – The two hit it off very quickly through their talent in playing football and eventually the two couldn’t be separated. Richie would help Angel in his social awkwardness during high school and Angel would help Richie with his essays. Richie is the reason Angel’s got a cool style and is now famous with the ladies. They still consider each other best friends after moving away for college.
Agnes MacIver – Very good friends, as he’s one of the first she came out to and he offered to help her by being her beard to keep rumors and expectations away until she was ready for the world to know her sexuality. The two still keep in contact via text & social media.
Vicenzo (Enzo) Sartore – Enzo’s the guy his parents told him to stay away from when they were younger, so has followed his parents’ advice until Richie started hanging out with him and the two have been friends as well. When Angel is very stressed, he goes to Enzo to buy “something” that eases his anxiety.
Anastasia Morley – The two are friends through mutual friend/girlfriend Agnes.

Aymehio (Amy) Hu – When Angel comes home, his parents have arranged for his MARRIAGE WTF LMAO I love it. She’s going to Brightwood College in Fresno, but her hometown is also Ripon Hills. Both their parents are really close and have decided this from when they were teens. Aymehio is gay, but of course she won’t be telling her parents that – but Angel’s parents are worried he would be too distracted by girls in college that they took care of it for him. Their engagement is immediate, and their wedding will be after his graduation. WOOP!
Biography //
Born in Oakland, California, before his parents decided Oakland was too big and busy to raise their child after just moving from South Korea, the Jeongs found Ripon Hills as a nice and quiet town to raise their family. Angel has always been the good boy growing up, but it wasn’t easy trying to please his parents. He often stressed himself by trying to be part of the American culture growing up without offending his parents, and trying to be the top of his class without isolating himself from his classmates.
He joined football so he could have more friends and it’s worked to his favor, as his body is built for physical activity. By doing this, no one has teased him about being That Asian Kid with the grades and has opened up his personality. There, he met Richie, his bestest friend in the whole goddamn world. There is no Angel without Richie.
Because there is no Angel without Richie, Angel feels extreme guilt for sleeping with his best friend’s ex-girlfriend and continuing to do so. Neither of the two will admit what it is becoming nor will they be the first to mention it to Richie.
His feelings for Jo have only grown stronger the more they “hang out” – they’ve even had coffee together in public sometimes, even though both are adamant in keeping their friendship platonic—until they somehow end up in each other’s arms when the sun comes up.
He feels like he's been so prepared for college - that's what his high school years were for. But he can't, for the life of him, get the hang of it. His entire freshmen year at NYU has been a mess, mainly because he's expected to do great, maybe something in engineering, maybe law, maybe med, but he wasn't feeling it - and being away from his parents for the first time in his life, he feels like he has the opportunity to perfect himself his own way. BUT HE JUST CAN'T GET A GRIP! It worries him so much that he needs "aids" to get a proper sleep at night.
ABOUT: Voted most likely to be next president, Blake carries a ton of his parents’ expectations on his shoulders. Constantly under stress, but acts as if nothing’s wrong mainly because he doesn’t want to concern people with his problems. Recently finished his first year at NYU and is constantly struggling to reach up to his family’s expectations.
RELATIONSHIPS: Best friends with RICHARD CARSON. Attends NYU with JO AGUADO and became good friends with her during all that time they’ve spent together. Used to act as AGNES MACIVER’S beard all throughout junior year and was one of the first few people she came out to.
SECRETS: Has switched his major several times ever since dropping pre-med in hopes of finding his true calling. ENZO SARTORE, 19
April 14th, 1999FULL NAME: Vincenzo Sartore
NICKNAME: Enzo
HOMETOWN: Ripon Hills
CURRENT RESIDENCE: Ripon HillsEDUCATION: Ripon Hills High. Finished second in his year but no one really knows that besides Ana.
Occupation: Working for his uncle at the local auto shop. Has bigger dreams but doesn’t know how to get there. Has bigger dreams but doesn’t know how to get there (or really what those dreams are).LIKES: His sister, cigarettes, house parties, family, Ana, keeping busy (very manic in this sense: always needs to be doing something otherwise he spirals), using his hands, fixing motorbikes at his uncles auto shop, finishing things, feeling accomplished, praise.
DISLIKES: His parents’ situations, people judging him based on his family, being judged in general, feeling directionless (almost all the time since graduation), being idle, doing nothing, the uppity housewives of his old classmates, gentrification, the mayor.
PERSONALITY: Enzo is a real big softie. Everyone knows it but everyone also knows he’s connected to a broken family which has slowly but surely added some lashes of the classic growing-up-too-fast, in-with-the-wrong-crowd, disintegrating-familial-situation thing. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends and anyone who proves themselves deserving of a Sartore’s support. Enzo likes to mess around and has a strong mischievous streak that manifests in stupid decisions like vandalism, public nudity (was once caught for streaking across one of Ripon Hills High’s football games), and meddling in places he shouldn’t. Enzo’s loyalty extends to his ability to love and see past people's’ flaws - he’s passionate and often blinded because of it.
BIOGRAPHY: Enzo was born in Ripon Hills, grew up and went to school in Ripon Hills, and will probably die there - or so he says. Throughout high school, Enzo was a bit of a floater - never in a specific group of friends - and so any person he was seen hanging out with, never shocked or surprised anyone just because he didn’t have a set group. This did change however when he started hanging out with RICHIE during their SATs when Richie asked for his help. At this time, Enzo was also dating EMMA, Richie’s best friend. Now that was shocking. There were whispers that Enzo must be really good in bed, or that Emma had a kinky side no one else had seen before - point is, no one could believe they were actually interested in each other besides the physical side of it. But they were incredibly in love with each other, not that each knew this about the other person.
As graduation was getting closer, Enzo already knew he wasn’t leaving Ripon Hills. He didn’t want to hold Emma back and broke it off. It was the worst decision Enzo had ever made. His best friend, ANA, had never seen him so broken up by a girl. Enzo put his efforts into helping Richie pass the SATs, taking his mind off the break up. His intense focus allowed him to almost forget Emma’s existence, and he took this as a good sign. Though burying feelings as deep as those is never a good idea.
With both Enzo’s parents basically being a write-off, he feels it is up to him to step up and be the mother and father he and Siena never really had. He places so much pressure on himself to look after Siena that the stress builds and builds and with no other outlet in town to do the job, he hangs out with Ana and his fathers associates downtown, smoking and drinking his worries away. His mother’s addictive personality was passed down to Enzo and is manifesting more clearly now that graduation has come and gone, and there is no regular timetable to contain his desires.

Amelia was the out of towner. She was passing through, on a bus trip across America with a pit stop in the small town of Ripon Hills. She never reached New York, her original destination, and some would say her decision to stay in Ripon Hills was where she went wrong - and when everything started going wrong. Amelia fell for Nico, a classic bad boy with a motorbike, a family owned auto shop and a hell of a reputation. When Enzo was born, Amelia was friends with all the uppity housewives who thought they lived in the Hamptons and not a small town outside of California. She had a good reputation, was building up the Sartore name to be cleaner than it once was. When Siena was born, Amelia (who had shown subtle signs of depression previously), fell into deep postpartum depression, feeling no connection to Siena and eventually Enzo at all. She turned to her husbands self-medication methods and her addictive personality fueled a spiral that started when Siena was 8 years old. Amelia has been back and forth between Ripon Hills and a rehab centre in California for years, but this time around, the return rate has been shorter and shorter. The family hasn’t had enough money to pay for her treatment, and with Nico busted for trying to find funds, Enzo has had to step up.

Nico was a good dad once. Still is, it’s just harder to see through the jail time and connections to the local bikie gang. When Nico was done for the rigorously planned but poorly hidden drug company that dealt to the eager Ripon Hills teenagers, not many were surprised. Not least Enzo. He had been incredibly aware of his fathers day job but was able to steer clear of being a dealer/accomplice although now he has no choice but to mingle with his dads other family in order to support his mother and sister. Nico spent only 3 years in jail, a quarter of what was ordered by the state, as the bail of $2.5M was paid anonymously - with a not-so-subtle gift of vandalism on the Ripon Hills County Police station: a few destroyed gargoyles and spray-painted initials, “S.S.” It isn’t a mystery to anyone in town who paid the bail and who vandalised the station but no one says a word. Money was transferred and that’s that. Nico lives in the trailer park on the south of town, with Enzo and Siena - though neither of his offspring stay there for long. Nico and Enzo have an alright relationship. “Alright” meaning they don’t eat dinner together every night, thanking God for the microwave meal they had been “blessed” with, but they are both fiercely loyal. Family is family and if you haven’t got that, what do you have?

Siena, 16, is Enzo’s favourite person in the world. While they were both in high school, everyone knew who Siena’s brother was, but not who she was. Now that he has graduated, she’s the only Sartore in the school and she’ll be damned if you mention Enzo before acknowledging Siena in her own right. Enzo had tried to keep her out of the little business he was building when their mother had relapsed but … many hands make light work. She has a sweet aura around her and doesn’t play up her family’s reputation for her own - which is why when she follows up on a client who hasn’t paid her or Enzo back, no one quite takes her seriously until she whips her wicked tongue and reveals threats not known to even those in Hell. She, like her brother, feels a fierce loyalty for her family, however her resentment towards her mother is intense. The disconnection from her mother has caused her some issues, but Siena is unable to recognise them just yet.

New owner of Ripon Hills’ ‘Sartore Auto Shop’, James took over his older brothers auto shop when Nico was put in jail. As an out of towner, James has a history and whole life outside of Ripon Hills - much to the housewives of the towns disappointment. With a wife-to-be that no one has ever met, and a killer smirk everyone recognises in his nephew, James causes trouble without setting his mind to it. He is aware of his brothers situation (duh) and swears he had no part in the business. The longer he stays in town though, the more questions and suspicions are being raised. Does he /actually/ have a fiance? Is he as innocent and unassuming as the Ripon Hills housewives believe him to be?

When Ana showed up in Ripon Hills, Enzo thought, ‘finally, another weirdo’, and it’s a story he likes to remind her of any time she thinks she’s not a weirdo anymore. They’re basically partners in crime (literally) - with Enzo’s mother in rehab yet again, Ana is helping him sell drugs to get funds together to pay for the stay. Ana and Enzo often get high together, imagining themselves somewhere far from Ripon Hills and the people who don’t ‘get them’. People thought they were dating at one point, but Ana is Enzo’s second sister - sometimes first if Siena is pissing him off.RICHIE CARSON / the other bff + secret crush
The quarterback and the druggie - what a classic combination! When Enzo was dating Emma, Richie’s best friend, Richie saw the golden opportunity to ask one of the smartest kids in their year for tutoring help for the SATs. Thus starting their friendship. They spent many nights together: pizza, study guides, a joint or two that Richie would sometimes indulge in … Enzo felt something stir in him. He went to Richie’s games with Emma, and when they broke up, Enzo continued to go with Ana (who often opted to be the snack getter to avoid watching the whole game). Enzo wasn’t sure if it was the high pressure situation of the SATs but Enzo definitely felt himself looking at Richie differently. He’s been trying to change his gaze ever since. Besides, there’s no time to question his sexuality. At least that’s what he tells himself at night when he closes his eyes and sees Richie smiling back at him.OTHER:

Enzo had never loved anyone before Emma, and would struggle to love anyone else after her either. Though it was only a month or two that they were together, it felt like a lifetime. She saw the bright, intelligent, happy person Enzo was and could be, and he felt safe and encouraged around her. He knew she thought highly of him, but he didn’t want to hold her back with college on the horizon. Breaking up with her was the hardest thing he’s ever done, because he loved her so damn much, and still does. Very much so.TAKEN BY: me pls

Hi there! I've noticed that some of you haven't finished your auditions and since we're already a very small number of people I'm willing to give those the benefit of the doubt. If you are still interested in the group please let me know - I know urstyle has been having a LOT of glitches lately thus me being unable to thoroughly go through your auditions.

Everyone in town half expected her to become somebody rich and famous. She was the girl the town built their pride on. Boy were they wrong. She left Ripton Hills as clean polished young lady ready to take the world. She came back bruised and hardened. Some might not even recognize the poor girl. Despite her character change she still rocks her blonde high pony and a wicked smile. She just has a nice set of vicious eyes to match, now.
Secret: Has had a crush on Richie for ages but never truly confessed her feelings to him or to anyone else for that matter. Dropped out of university after realizing that it isn’t as easy as she thought it would be and instead wants to pursue a more creative career.
