Seaside, Florida: a beach community on the Florida coast, seemingly normal from the outside, with too many odd reports to be ignored.
"Mermaids!" That's what so many citizens and vacationers alike have claimed to see before their eyes. True or not, Seaside has capitalized with mermaid restaurants, gift shops, cafes and water parks. Earning the title of "Atlantis of the US" for itself.
Second to the mermaid claims, Seaside has quickly become a land of surfer's galore, pulling enough attention to host one of the biggest, nationwide surfing competition of the summer for the first time this year. With the rise of mermaid claims and surfing stars, the surfing community is out to prove or disprove mermaids (to gain some publicity? "I think not" the chairman of the High Tide Surfing Competition claims but we know otherwise) and are offering a cash prize to those who find proof first. With outsiders and townies flooding the shoreline for a glimpse of something with a scaley tail, Seaside is sure in for an interesting, dare I say mystical, summer.

Logistics:- This will be a story based roleplay where you create a set and write a story based on your character and what is happening in their life or an event. You should include other characters from the group but ask first!
- There will be a forum where all members can:
• ask who would like to have this characters featured, an upvote will mean you have the go ahead but you can also respond back with what your character will be up to if you'd like
• post when they have put up a new set or story with a link and tag all group members
• plan events
• seek out collaborations
• HAVE FUN - more to come probably

Bless Raegen's audition for reminding me of this - I'm actually going to be posting my character's audition information on http://freetexthost.com/ so everything doesn't all clump together (and probably stories til urstyle hopefully adds breaks in text) so feel free to do the same! Just put the link in the set description. I also am going to end auditions this Friday (6/22) at 9 pm EST so if that doesn't work for you message me and we can work something out!
