Problem with drafts and publishing
-
Is anyone having trouble saving drafts and publishing sets? I kept getting an error message when trying to save a draft. After several attempts, it finally saved successfully. After I finished the set, it took a long time to publish. When it finally published all of the items I used were there but the set was blank. About 30 minutes later the set showed up but it was extremely small. I use a frame to size my sets and I'm very careful that no margins extend beyond the frame so that is not the reason. I deleted the set and I want to redo it but I don't want to waste my time if there is a glitch right now.

Hi Debra, I just had the same problem. Finally it showed up after about 10 minutes, but it wouldn't save and wouldn't publish. It did show up ok but I felt like I just wasted a bunch of time too. Thought I lost it!

@debraelizabeth I almost always have issues with slow saving and publishing, though I've yet to see the resizing issue. I have seen people mention that before, though. I'm not sure what came from it.

@debraelizabeth Hi Dear, I've had a few issues like this . I'm just confirming that you know when an xtra item is hidden beyond your Screen view that this can definitely make your Set smaller. That's happened more than a few times and now I'll drag the cursor all the way across and down the entire Screen to make sure I didn't leave an items hidden. The square will be much larger if an Item is hidden behind the Category box or beyond the view screen itself. I'm not sure about the other stuff but when weird stuff starts to happen on the Create Page, I immediately open another tab in URStyle and go to the draft I've saved. It's kind of resets the Page and I can continue to work. In your case though, it sounds like a Platform glitch since others are experiencing it too. Hope you can find out what happened. Keep us posted!

@rainheartart @debraelizabeth Yes, it's also good to pay attention to how much space the item actually takes up
Here are two examples:
.
.
.
For example, the first item (blazer) takes up a little more space than its own actual size, while the second item (shoe) takes up a lot more space than its actual size. User-uploaded items often take up more space around them (a lot more than their own size). That's why I use a square border to limit my working space: https://urstyle.com/shop/9697290 , feel free to try it!
In order to have a full-size set, everything in the set must be within the square borders (including the white "empty" space around items).
You will see the true size of the item by clicking on it (like I did in this example above).
In order not to miss anything, it might be good to Zoom out the page and see if you misplaced something accidentally. In Google Chrome, you should just click the 3 dot menu on the right and you will see the zooming options

Hope this helps a bit! -
As for the publishing/draft errors and slow publishing speed, it might happen because of the site updates

In my case, the drafts saved, and I kept returning to them to work on little by little. But now I discovered they are completely gone from the list. I did not log in during the weekend, and now they are gone. So I understand what you mean about the missed time. I hope they discover the glitch.

@debraelizabeth I have not made a lot of sets due to this problem, and unfortunately it has occurred every time I use a draft set. If I do not use a draft set, everything turns out fine. I have had sets not publish, I have had small sets a few times. It is very frustrating when you put a lot of work into them. I have not been on for a couple a weeks, hoping things might improve but pop in and the first thing I see is that things have not changed any which is unfortunate. Frankly I think you have more patience than me
Good luck

@vn1ta Hello! I was sent here by another user because I had issues and they sent me to this because you knew how to fix it. And I thank you sooo much for this help! And it makes complete sense too.

@vn1ta I'm replying once more because it fixed one of my sets, but the other one seems to stay small and I've double checked that no item borders take up space I can't see. I wonder if maybe this one is a glitch, or my fault? I can't tell. If you see my sets, you'll see which one is still small.
