Why do you like this site?
-
@dotingsage I choose this site for the lack of pressure and competition. We can do what we enjoy and at the same time enjoy each others work in the process. Most of all, I like all the friends I've made here. I hope it continues.
I haven't noticed any negativity recently. The only thing I've noticed is less action on the website. -
@laughingdog mostly negative stuff comes from complaining about the constant site crashes/being down.
So, want to lift it up a bit to show the admin we want the site to stay.
-
@dotingsage Let's hope they are paying attention and care about the site.

@DotingSage There are several aspects I enjoy here. The great people I've gotten to know, the casual level of competition, the ease of use, and the fact that I can come here and "turn off" the thinking/worrying part of me and just shift into creative/relaxed mode. I used Polyvore but was an avid user of Olioboard. All these sites helped me relax & enjoy a mental vacation. I would be extremely sad if Urstyle went away.

@shelley-harcar oh yes the casual competition keeps you motivated to try better set design.
-
@laughingdog fingers crossed
they are working behind the scenes to keep the site functioning properly in future. -
@dotingsage I do Love making sets on this site. It's a great way to relax and be creative. It's like a journal and fantasy fashion closet for me.
However I have to admit, I've been making more sets on Shoplook lately because it is way easier to make them using my cell phone with their app than on Urstyles Appt. I like using my phone because I can make sets on my lunch break at work, waiting at the doctor's office or while I'm laying down before I go to sleep. Urstyle is hard to manipulate using the phone because the images are always either getting real big or small when you save in the draft mode. Also trying to resize items is almost nearly impossible on their app. In Shoplook at is really easy. I have to admit Shoplook does have issues that you need work around but it just seems a little bit easier to use on a cell phone. Overall I still think sets made in Urstyle visually look the best so I'll still come here to make stuff using my laptop.

@curekitty I use urstyle.fashion on my phone. I only find the set gets too small if some item is out of the grid your set is.
Never had sets go too big before. You can zoom in and out if needed before publishing.
Maybe the urstyle app is different because I have no trouble using urstyle as a regular website on my phone. -
I love to see everyone's creativity - the different users all have such a variety of fashion sense, art styles etc. People are friendly. The contests are really fun to host and take part in. Just from spending time here, I've learned about so many different fashion designers and artists I'd never heard of before. I also love how easy URSTYLE is to use (when it's working
) and to me it has the old Polyvore feeling, but on a smaller scale. It feels a bit like 'the old internet' used to be, before everything was politics and pay-walls. A lot of spaces seem negative now, but there's a good vibe here. -
@DotingSage I love to create here as well.. I agree this site is very similar to polyvore in creating and the groups. I also create on trendme.net which is totally different.. I still get satisfaction... and I have friends on both sites and enjoy the friendships. I hope this site doesn't shut down.. I have been concerned by the problems of not being able to access the site and downloading items.
