Food for thought

What I am about to say may be unpopular but here goes. Personally I find that many contests on Urstyle always appear to follow what is happening in America and/or seasons. This site is worldwide. Halloween always is an overkill and now everything is Thanksgiving. Basically I guess what I am saying is there are so many other things a contest could be about. Food for thought.

@ollie I agree!

@ollie I get more annoyed by the number of fashion contests. Often you have to scroll down for miles to find an art one.
-
I think you make an excellent point.
-
@rainbow-jen YES. I like entering fashion contests occasionally, but I wish there were a way to search by contest type. (I know I'm dreaming when I say that)

I get what your saying @ollie I don’t really care about Halloween & don’t have a true understanding of thanksgiving, sometimes I go in the contests but I wonder how my ideas are perceived by people who love these celebrations, if I was American I would probably love these celebrations, but being an Aussie I just do my best, but with the weather in Melbourne half the time I forget what season it is, which is handy on urstyle

@ollie I concur. And this is why I continue to create at my own fancy. I enjoy the contests from time to time, but I interject my own free will whenever I choose. I hope everyone feels the same freedom. You don't need a contest to burst the imagination and create. Do your thing and the rest will follow. p.s. I am an American, but all roads do not lead to the U.S. and being popular is overrated.

@mahvelus-24-7 LOL yes, being popular is overrated and like you the freedom to create what we desire is there for all, but there are times the brain is dead and contests fill that void
