Why Enchanted Art?
The purpose of the Enchanted Art Contest Series is so that I might gradually introduce techniques that some of you may have never worked with before, which will help you to create more original, unique, and exciting artwork as you progress.

By then, the 'main image' can become part of an entire composition. Many of you have mastered this already, which is why these contests can seem, to some, confusing -- because they're very basic and extremely easy. But they will not remain that way. That's the point.

Sets done incorrectly for any Twisted Gypsies contest are marked with an Alien emoji to alert the artist and our Mystery Guest Judge that the Set (unless corrected) does not qualify. However, Sets that do not qualify aren't necessarily incorrect. They may simply be too "advanced" for this stage in our Series.

May Flower Power Contest

A collection of various items has been made for you for our May Flowers Contest. Choose one and decorate the image with flowers. Even if there are flowers in the image, there needs to be more! It's May!!! Take the image as seen, without cropping it, and fill it in with flowers. Flower graphics not provided. Use any you wish.

As in most of our contests, there IS a twist...
You will need to use at least TWO COLOR BLURS from the Blurs Collection on any flowers in your image.
You do not have to repeat the effect on all flowers in a group or in the scene. Just place a Color Blur in the center of, or over, one flower.
Then, pick another Color Blur and use it on another flower in your scene.

• Your two blurs must be of differing colors, even if in the same color family.
• You may use them more than once, and you certainly may use more than two.
• Blurs must be taken from the provided Blurs Collection. (Link below.)

It's so easy!

1. Select an image from the May Flower Power Contest Collection. (One Item per Set)
2. Add flowers to the scene.
3. Use two (2) different Color BLURS, each at least once, to enhance a single (or multiple) flowers.

Here is an example. I used 5 color blurs. I used each only once. Can you find them?

The "Before" Image should not be placed in the submitted Set.

Here's how it should be presented:

Please Note:

• Snippets of rooms are peeks into them; a snippet of the décor style. Do not build around these rooms or any vignettes.
  Use these images "as is" and just add flowers. Do not add to the borders of the image (other than a frame)

• Do not extend any image space.

• Flowers in any of the flowers bunches, flower pots, and flower boxes in an existing image may be "covered" with other floral elements.

• Some images clearly have an Autumn feel. Cover leaves with grass, add leaves or flowers to bare tree branches, or change the coloring of full tree branches.

• Feel free to cover and add items, provided they do not take away from the Subject of your chosen image.
  The Subject of the image is what most stands out. It may not be covered up or hidden. In my example, the Subject is the small sitting space with table and chair. I covered the tabletop, and placed flowers over items on the table, but I did not cover up the table itself.

• Flowers not provided. Find them in your own Collections and those of others! There are thousands of images to choose from!

• You may certainly use other graphic effects to enhance your image!
