February ✨ Enchanted Art Contest ✨
-
Oh the horror!!!! February is the most bitter month of Winter in the northeastern United States. 🥶
For this month, I've collected bone-chilling images for you to play up using the Enchanted Art Technique.
I sincerely hope you do not cross paths with any of these characters in your travels!
Because we celebrate Valentines Day this month, I threw in some LOVE-ly images for fun. And I will be adding more images by week's end.The theme this month is 'The Freezing Flavors of February: Bone Chilling Cold with Flavor'.
What's your flavor?
Choose an image from the February collection (one image per Set) and want to make it feel Sweet, Sour, or Salty!______________________________________________________________________________________________
Sweet:
Make it beautiful. No matter how evil the image is, surely you can enchant it in a way to make it less disturbing and even appealing.Sour:
Play up the sinister, or take a not-so-scary image from the February collection and make it totally frightening.🤪 Salty:
Use twisted humor to make your chosen image unexpectedly funny or whimsical. Add words, thought balloons, signs; whatever adds to the feel you're creating, yet without overpowering the main image.______________________________________________________________________________________________
Use one image and one "flavor" per Set: Sweet, Sour, or Salty.
Image used must:
- come from the February Enchanted Art Contest Collection: https://urstyle.fashion/collections/225650
- reflect the Bone Chilling Theme, which means it should have snow, ice, or a sense of bitter cold added to the scene when necessary.
- be enhanced using the 'Enchanted Art Technique', explained here: https://urstyle.fashion/topic/2434524/2024-enchanted-art-contest-instructions
See last month's Practice Contest entries for fantastic examples of finished artwork.
(Winners to be announced shortly!)
______________________________________________________________________________________________DOs & DON'Ts
You may:
• Use special effects
• Use overlays
• Add color to all or part of the image
• Cover or crop any signature marking
• Crop the image sparingly, leaving enough of the subject matter in view
• Flip the image
• Add more space to the height or width of an image IF that space serves a purpose. You may not change the image background, but you may enlarge and enhance it. Widen your workspace by creating a square (in the SHAPES section) and color-matching it to the background. Feel free to use overlays, just don't let them distract from the main subject of the image you're working with.
• Frame the image – though framing does not increase the appeal of the image itselfYou may NOT:
• Use images that are not in our February Contest Collection: https://urstyle.fashion/collections/225650
• remove or completely change the background, but you may add a little to it.
• cover up portions of the subject/s.
• remove anything from the image
• combine Collection images, parts of those images, or use more than one Collection image per Set.
• No Fashion or Beauty Sets______________________________________________________________________________________________
