ππππ: Alice Takahashi
πππ: Seventeen
ππππππππ: October 7th, 2003, 4:30pm
ππππππ: Libra sun, Gemini moon, Aquarius risingππππππ: Female
πππππππππ: Lesbianππππππππ: Mystic Falls, a mysterious, supernaturally-influenced town in Virginia whose culture seems to be stuck in the past.
ππππππππππ: Chicago, Illinois
ππππππ: 5β6
πππππ: Slim and fit, thanks to the exercise she does to improve her stamina and core strength.
πππππππ: Upright and well-trained, though not rigid. It becomes much lazier when sheβs sleepy.πππππ: A few along her back from a failed attempt at climbing a tree to get a better view of the moon. No one told 11-year-old Alice that coming down was much harder than getting up.
πππππππππ: 3 (One on each lobe, one on her conch)
ππππππππ πππππ: Casually elegant, bordering on minimalist, marked by her ironic preference of comfort over trendiness. She generally likes to wear clothing that lets her move and create freely. Even when dressing formally, she favors looser silhouettes. Loves experimenting with color and dabbles in similarly attention-grabbing prints, but isnβt a fan of neons. Her favorite accessory, by far, is jewelry; sheβs known for having an eclectic collection of bracelets and rings.
πππππ: Gentle and controlled
ππππ: ESFP
ππππππππ ππ πππππππππ?: Optimist
πππππππππππ: Sanguineπππππππππ: Curiosity, flexibility, cleverness, exuberance, and amiability.
π ππππ: People-pleasing, caprice, selfishness, an allergy to confrontation, flightiness, hypocritical cunning, and a desire to always be the peacemaker. The latter is going to morph into something very different as her story unfolds.ππππππππππ & ππππππ: Purses her lips when sheβs frustrated, almost as if sheβs restraining herself from saying something out of turn β’ crosses her arms when sheβs on defensive mode β’ carries a notebook that she often doodles in during classes that she canβt pretend to care about β’ canβt fall asleep unless sheβs holding something β’ gets way more affectionate when sheβs tired
ππππππππ πππ: Pride
ππππππππ ππππππ: Patience
πππ ππππππ: Impatience, pretentiousness, and mind games that she canβt win
πππππ ππ πππππ ππ ππππ?: Not even she knows anymore.
πππππππππ ππ: The whys, hows, and what ifsππππππ πππππ: High
ππππππ πππππ: In the middleππππ ππππ: Being the best version of herself and gaining more control over her powers...which she intends to keep.
πππππ πππππππππ: Being ordinary and worth forgetting.
πππ πππππππ?: She jokes about being an open book, but sheβs much more private than she appears to be. Sheβs obviously not planning on telling anyone that sheβs a psychic any time soon. Since Alice knows how to manipulate her thoughts in front of Rowan, she will never know that Alice wants to keep her powers either, even if that means that she will lose hers.
π πππππππ ππππ ππ πππ: Early morning
π πππππππ ππππππ: Owl
πππππππ: Acting, singing, making art, improv, calligraphy (which explains her beautiful handwriting)
πππππππππ: Theatre, music, mythology, and, through learning about her own family, the paranormal.π πππππππ π πππ: Curry or stew (she knows thatβs vague, but chances are that if something qualifies as a curry or stew, she will inhale a bowl or two of it, no questions asked)
π πππππππ πππππ: Mango juice
π πππππππ πππππ: Quirky alternative pop and anything with lots of drama; she particularly likes concept albums
π πππππππ πππππππ: Sweeney Todd
π πππππππ πππππ: Anywhere quiet and peaceful enough for her to process her own thoughts.
ππππππππππ:
β Became interested in theater and singing at a very young age, thanks to her fatherβs collection of old musicals, play adaptations, and movie posters. From ages 5 to 13, she put on a short show for her parents every December 1st, and theyβve still got them all on tape.
β Her vocal technique is good enough to make it clear that she was trained by a professional for a bit, but that teacher never told her that improving her range would be such a lengthy process...it still manages to be more than decent, though.
β Doesnβt really get method acting, but if asked about it, sheβd say something like βI respect the people who have the tenacity for that sort of stuff, I guess.β Prefers improvising on the spot.
β Has avoided social media because she doesnβt want to know any more about complete strangers than she has to. Unfortunately, her place in the schoolβs hierarchy has sort of required her to keep up with whateverβs going on drama-wise, and sheβs begrudgingly made an Instagram account this summer.
β She tries her hardest not to be judgmental and treats the vast majority of people the way sheβd want to be treated, but some people make it very, very hard for her to stick to that rule. If Alice has bad blood with someone, though, sheβll still be kind to themβin fact, sheβll be almost sickly sweet just because she knows it will make them furious.
β Always makes sure to thank the higher powers that be for letting her inherit her motherβs clear skin.
β Adamantly refuses alcohol or anything else thatβll mess up her voice; thankfully, her reputation as the star of the choir club allows her to avoid too much questioning from her classmates (for now. Someoneβs going to get the girl drunk eventually).
β Since Shohei has pretty old-fashioned values (which even reflect in the name he gave Alice), heβll make remarks about how he canβt wait to get grandchildren of his own, or casually joke about how his daughter hasnβt gotten a boyfriend yet, and she will be forced to grin and bear it. When she does get a crush, she never handles it well. Her clubmates tease her about how sheβs managed to go 18 years without dating and sheβll insist that sheβs only focusing on education, but when someone brings up that her grades are only above average because school bores her so much, sheβs never able to defend herself. Only Rowan is in the know.
β Though there is genuine kindness in her heart, her powers have forced her to keep people at a distance, for the most part. If she cared about everyone, sheβd probably lose her mind. This will change when she finds a friend that forces her to be vulnerable and unlearn her manipulation skills.
β Anyone who knows Alice is well-aware of her dedication to the fine arts, but if they asked her what she was planning on doing after high school, sheβd shrug and say something like βIβll wait and see what happens.β Though she is very talented, she wonders if sheβs good enough to make a career out of acting; it doesnβt help that she gets the most practice via a situation that may very well be temporary. One could say that she has impostor syndrome, but Alice already seems to know that sheβs a bit of a fraud in every respect. Like every thing that makes her upset, she prefers not to think about it.
β She follows the common thread of popular people having many acquaintances, even more admirers, and very few, if any true friends; in her case, her only companion is her cousin, and they were only brought closer by tragic circumstances. Alice knows that this is also a consequence of her intentionally keeping people at a distance. Her only safe method of coping is through journaling, which appears less concerning to others than throwing herself into whatever production the school is putting on.
β Aliceβs parents are always amused at how she seems to have inherited her uncleβs sly, dark sense of humor. Chances are that if some kind of prank is being conducted at Mystic Falls High, sheβll be assigned the role of the person who definitely has no idea whatβs going on, and will be found laughing the hardest when the prank lands. An unpretentious actress, sheβs not afraid to make a fool of herself if itβll bring joy to at least one person.
