Is there a "limit" of 9928 items in our inventories of "MY ITEMS" and "LIKED ITEMS"?

I've gone over the amount of 9,928 items in each of the categories mentioned in subject line. When in the Item Organizer today, I was curious to see if that meant my oldest items in these categories are being purged... And it seems as though they are since they're not showing up anymore.
So my question is, IS THERE A DEFINITE LIMIT OF 9,928 items we can have in our inventories of "MY ITEMS" and "LIKED ITEMS"? -
Mine stopped at that count too, but my items seem to be there when I put them in my collections!

@sjlew Thanks for the reply, but what if we haven't already put some of those "old" items into collections previously?

@pwhiteaurora I think you can go back and put them in, usually the ones not put away are still sitting there waiting in the item organizer. I put mine away quite regularly so they don't pile up.

@fatenmh It has been there quite awhile, it seems to cut off at that number, but I still collect and put them in collections, they all seem to be there. Just doesn't tell the total after that number!

@sjlew Ok I see what you mean since I just checked my "unassigned" items in both categories, and the oldest items are still there! Yes, I have under 1,000 in the MY ITEMS category, and ~ 1,265 in the LIKED ITEMS that are "unassigned" and it goes back to the beginning! Yay! But we need to make the point to all users that they should try to classify their items into at least one collection before they approach the 9,928 display cutoff!
