About the BLOCK option

This is gonna be a bit of a rollercoaster and it may make me sound like a whiny and spoiled child, but it needs to be said. We all are very aware of the copying issue that's been happening on Urstyle (it was also an issue back in Polyvore but back then people were a bit more respectful when it came to giving credit where credit is due). And just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Full disclosure, I have never followed the member in question and they themselves claim to have never followed me, but as we all know it's not that hard to notice the sets of members you don't follow. That's why the Get Inspired page exists - all of our works can be seen there and I noticed that this member has been using my set layout.

Now, I have nothing against people using my layout once or twice as long as I'm given credit. I work way too hard on all of my creative things, given I have a degree in design so of course I will take creativity and individuality very seriously. Especially after I was mistakenly accused of plagiarism back on Polyvore to the point where the people who accused me of that threatened to sue. I was barely eighteen mind you so that sort of accusation affected my mental psyche in ways I cannot describe and it was very likely part of the reason why I suffered from depression and creative block throughout the next two years.

But I digress.

I didn't accuse this person of plagiarism. As a matter of fact I messaged them privately and kindly asked them for credit. Not only were they incredibly imperious and condescending towards me, they also took the liberty to block me. Of course I blocked them back. Apparently despite being blocked by someone and vice versa, this member is still able to interact with me by replying to comments that have nothing to do with them.

I kindly ask you to fix this problem. Maybe not right away - I do understand we all have other priorities, but please make sure it happens soon. Not just for my sake, but for the sake of other members who don't want to be harassed or bothered by people they blocked for an actual reason.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Honestly, it sucks the whole copying thing that is going on and I feel you. However, I have to tell you that the block button is very efficient, at least for me it's working. I'm saying - I ran tests with another account and it works. Literally, that's all we have against these copying issue. Hope the problem is resolved.
