Wild West-inspired designs often incorporate regional pieces into the mix, reflecting a particular geography of the sprawling American West, or even suggesting a particular historical period. It can be traced back to the 19th century, for example, when cowboys, miners, outlaws, pioneers, and mountain folks needed hardy, reliable belongings to survive the harshness of the wilderness, the arid, desolate landscape of deserts and mountains. Western’s ethos is mostly about personal freedom, excitement, and rugged adventurism.
