Discovery? "Refreshing" your Liked Items while working on a Set
-
Okay, so those of you who already know this, you can have a giggle at how slow I am to figure things out here, but this one was NOT easy for me. Ever work on a Set and keep it open, so as to not lose the alignment? I think we've all done that.
What about when you need items for the Set you're working on, but do not have just the right thing in any of your Collections or Items or Likes? What do you do?My solution, until now, has been to save and close the Draft Set and go hunting on UrStyle and other sites, hoping to find what I feel my creation needs. Even if I open another window and "Like", clip, or upload items, the items do not show in my Create "side-screen" if I leave the Draft Set open. The only way to access my newest items, especially my Likes, is to open a new tab/browser window, select 'Create', and then open the Draft Set... which often means I have to rework it due to shifting items already in the Set. There is no (obvious) way to "refresh" your Likes. This is VERY frustrating.
Perhaps some of you know of a way to refresh one's Likes...?
I found a way today simply by trying all sorts of things, thinking that there had to be a way to make UrStyle refresh my Liked items. Here's what I discovered...-
While working on a Set, when in need of new items, simply open another browser window and hunt around.
-
Clip, Upload, and/or Like the items you want to use. When done, you can close that browser window.
-
Using the newest 'Liked items' as an example, go back to your open Draft Set.
-
Select your 'Likes' in the side-screen. You'll note they remain the same, even if you switch to other areas.
-
Type any letter or number in the Search Box above the Likes area. It will search automatically. I typed the letter "x".
-
Regardless of whether or not the search locates items that match, ignore any results and remove the letter/number/word you typed into the search box, leaving the box blank.
-
The second you clear your previous "search", all newly Liked items will show up in the screen, ready for you to use. YAY!!!!!
Okay, so who knew about this???

I'm not sure about the likes but I know when clipping if I leave create open and just clip some items if I click the next number page of items on the create page and click back to the starting page my clipped items are there without saving draft and having to reload the whole page.
-
@blueknight That's good to know! Thanks!!!
-
man bummer I wish I knew how To use my clipper and I already had problems with Google Chrome I wont try to learn how to use my clipper only I get items from Urstyle or other members but thanks for the info I'll see if my daughter can figure it out for me when she comes to visit.

@minerva Maybe this will help...? https://urstyle.fashion/styles/2040173
-
@minerva I'm in the same boat. My Windows 10 doesn't work well with Google Chrome...
-
@FunkyJunkyGypsy All I have ever done is change the page number and then change it back on what ever item tab your on, refreshes pages every time.
-
I change the page then go back to the first page and the item is there. Sometimes it takes a while. You also have to be aware that the item may have been rejected.
-
Aha sweetie, I'll have to check this out, I'll have my daughter show me what you have here, I am as dense as a mud fence post, I am a techno dunce, this sounds great!
-
@ollie How do you do this with LIKES when you only have one page?
-
@shelley-harcar Try updating Chrome -- and WIndows 10. I use them together just fine, but you must keep them up-to-date.
-
@minerva Try Firefox, I use both and switch back and forth. PM me if you need help Minerva!

@funkyjunkygypsy He He .... Do not know answer to that one, long time since I had only one page on my LIKES.
