Can't open saved sets without terrible glitches

The last few times I've opened a saved set every single item I used from my likes had weird glitches: holes, white background, didn't show at all, colours all wrong, etc. Items I used that I myself clipped were suddenly terribly pixelled and uneven, even though when I made the set the quality was great (like, really great. I was impressed by how good it was).
Some of the items were unaccountably doubled, and the glitches only got worse when I published: items suddenly black, colours subverted, etc. (& this wme both like and clipped items)Is that an issue with my editor? A temporary glitch? Do sets just not save properly? And is that just me or has anyone else had that problem?
I've spent a lot of time editing items and hunting them down from poly and while I'm so so happy this website here exsits it is terribly frustrating to have my sets not saved or published properly.
I'd appreciate any help!
