Defenders :
Townes Lake : taken by @filthysoul- I don’t think Townes and Ophelia would hate each other or anything, but I think Ophelia would think of her as kind of “stuck-up” because Ophelia doesn’t take people not liking her very well – and clearly Townes wouldn’t be very warm and fuzzy towards her. However she’d still respect her because she really admires all defenders.
Alexandra Lippi : taken by @spacelava
- Maybe they could be (reluctant) study partners? Ophelia also loves languages so they have that in common. I also think Ophelia would be curious about Alexandra since she’s so quiet.
Valora Genesis Xenos: taken by @dehluxe
- Ophelia doesn’t have a defender yet – so if you’re looking for someone to defend she’s open!
- I also think Ophelia would seriously admire her skills. And tbh Ophelia also loves to gossip so they could bond over that maybe?
Handmaids :

- Ophelia also loves music and plays the violin – and she loves reading and history as well, so I think they could get to know each other over those things.
Falene Rue Chapell : taken by @mormon-girl
- I think Ophelia would be a bit wary of Falene since Ophelia tends to try to be semi-friends/ friendly acquaintances with as many people as possible and idk if Falene would be very receptive to that. Also, while Ophelia loves to gossip about drama and such, she keeps her secrets and information very close. But if Falene had something useful/more worthwhile to Ophelia than a secret or piece of information I think Ophelia could be persuaded.
Royals :
Kateryna Olena Davidovich: taken by @bloodystilinski- I can also definitely see Ophelia and Kateryna being friends. I like the idea that their countries are allies – maybe they’re next to each other since they’re both near water? I like maybe having the brother be her past relationship, but the only thing is idk if the age gap would be too much since Ophelia is 21.

- I think Ophelia would like Clara and see her as a valuable ally, especially because of the politics of her country.
Dominic Augustine Marchesi : taken by @agentdanascully
- I really like Dominic, so let me know if you have any ideas! I think Ophelia would have mixed feelings since it sounds like he can be both kindhearted and cruel. She would admire his ability to boost morale and she enjoys playful flirting - although she’s not much of a joker herself, she can take jokes/being messed with pretty well.

- I think Adeline and Ophelia would get along – they seem to have similar interests! Since Ophelia is also pretty reserved she’s the type of person that doesn’t need to constantly be talking when she’s with someone, so maybe that would make Adeline feel more comfortable around her.

@bloodystilinski Sounds great, lets do that! Avery and Kateryna would get along well, I think. I imagine that Kateryna would be the more outgoing one, while Avery would be more shy; but they are both soft-hearted, and also passionate about the things they care about. Their personalities would compliment each other well.

@mormon-girl I'm going through all the characters rn and I saw that @altered-dreams reserved Neels first and the only way for anyone to use the same models is twins and idk if yall wanna change ur characters to both handmaids or something like that so that they are twins or if not you'll need to change your fc for Nix I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner!

Name: River Kennedy (I know River was meant to be the male name option, but I wanted to do a girl NPC and I like the name River for her)

• Reserved and hard to get to knowQuick bio: She has trained all her life to be a defender, but not for a specific royal. She would be one of the “spare” (I’ll think of a better word than that haha) defenders. For example, if a high-up royal was in a particularly high-risk situation, they might need to have extra defenders with them. These defenders would also be available to take over the roles of any actively serving defenders who may be killed or permanently impaired in battle. [@filthysoul do you think this idea would work for the story? I can always change it.]
River thinks logically and is always prepared. She knows the importance of training just as hard as other those defenders who are actively serving the royals, because she could be sent onto the front line at any time.

Plotting ideas for Avery Oakley
I started out commenting on peoples’ sets, but I’m just gonna do what bloodystilinski and cherry-wine did because it’s easier to have it all in one place. Let me know if you guys agree/disagree with what I’ve written, or have any other thoughts or ideas!

{Defenders}
Townes Lake ( @filthysoul ) : [copy/paste of what I commented on your set] I don't think that Avery and Townes would get on too well. I don't think they'd be enemies per say either, though. Avery would probably just avoid hanging around Townes because they don't gel. Avery is pretty sensitive and would find her a bit intimidating.
Alexandra Lippi ( @spacelava ) : I think Alex's backstory is really interesting. Avery is also haunted by the memory of witnessing a family member's death, and our characters both struggle socially. I feel like Avery would be understanding towards Alex if she knew about her past. But since Alex’s past is a secret, Avery would be put off (though intrigued) by her standoffishness and would be too awkward to initiate conversation at first.
Valora Genesis Xenos ( @dehluxe ) : I feel like Avery wouldn’t like Valora haha. They’re very different people.
{Handmaids}
Alicia Leighton Macintyre ( @Followyourbliss ) : [copy/paste of what I commented on your set] I could see Avery befriending Alicia. They have quite similar personalities and interests. They also both witnessed their mother's death, so maybe they could bond over that. They would have someone to talk to who understands.
Falene Rue Chapell ( @mormon-girl ) : Avery would be apprehensive of Falene’s bad-tempered side. They'd probably clash at first, but I think maybe they're more alike than they'd first realize. They're both easily offended, but express it in different ways (Falene's temper vs. Avery's sensitivity).
{Royals}
Ophelia Brousseau ( @cherry-wine ) : I agree with what you said! I had noticed that Ophelia and Avery have some things in common, so yeah, they should get to know each other. Their playing of the violin could be a good thing for them to bond over initially.
Clara Margaux Verhoeven ( @expiredsunshine ) : Avery hates gossip so she would probably find Clara annoying hahaha.
Kateryna Olena Davidovich ( @bloodystilinski ) : We already discussed that Avery will be Kateryna’s handmaid and good friend. Maybe Kateryna could be the one who knows Avery’s secret, if you’re ok with that.
Dominic Augustine Marchesi ( @agentdanascully ) : Dominic is the character that Avery looks up to. Avery recognizes that she takes life too seriously, being too hard on herself and too concerned with what people think. She wishes she could be more lighthearted like Dominic is.
Adeline Seraphina Grace Victorum ( @Punkette123 ) : Our characters both struggle with anxiety and trust issues, so maybe that could be the basis of a friendship.
