23rd May Update: CLIPPER Tool
-
@izzystarsparkle Hmm, that is very odd
I didn't hear about that happening before. Have you tried cleaning cookies & cache? I know this sounds a bit old, but it usually helps
Here are the instructions: https://urstyle.com/topic/1553017/important-information-about-urstyle
-
@vn1ta hi
I clear those weekly. Maybe my computer has a mind of its own
Thanks Fran -
@izzystarsparkle Well, you should definitely contact URSTYLE support via [email protected] if the problem persists
I normally clear my cache & cookies depending on updates, or when something doesn't seem to work well in general.
-
I can't sign in to clipper. It says "session expired".
-
@neeuqia As I understood, this usually happens with Windows 8 operating systems. Are you using this OS?
If so, please know that URSTYLE team is investigating this issue and working on fixing it.
-
@neeuqia Another thing that you could try is to delete your cookies and cache - instructions are given here: https://urstyle.com/topic/1553017/important-information-about-urstyle

@vt1ta this is the link when the problem started happening. I don have to delete URStyle clipper any more I just need to repair? Does this help? If not let me know and I can do a screenshot of where I go to repair it. Itβs not a big deal. Just wondered if anyone else was having to repair.
-
@johbri Dear, do you want to say that you're having the same issue as @izzystarsparkle ? What kind of error notification do you get?
Please try to describe your problem in more details, so that URSTYLE administrators have enough information to investigate and resolve the issue.
-
@vn1ta
I go to the toolbar for Google Chrome control
more tools
extensions
-
@izzystarsparkle Thank you very much for documenting this!
I have forwarded it to Ms Oliwia today ( @olivpear ), so URSTYLE team will be able to investigate the issue.
By the way, are these two extensions (Google Docs Offline and URSTYLE Clipper) the only extensions that you have? I have noticed that some of the extensions interfere with others occasionally, so it would be good to remove the ones that you don't use often.
-
@vn1ta I removed 3 extension just now and removed the clipper and added it back in again. Thanks for forwarding the issue with Ms Oliwia.
Thanks!!!! Fran -
Hi Oliwia, I have been away from URStyle for awhile and just added the clipper, my security does not like the clipper and returned this message "legitimate program that can be used by criminals to damage your computer and/or personal data" hence it is constantly asking me to remove it. Can you please reassure me this is safe and is not a gateway for others? Thanks Ollie
-
@ollie Hello Dear! What browser and security program do you use? Either way, our Clipper Tool is safe and will not do any damage to your computer and/or personal data and is not a gateway for others. Please let me know, if I can help you with anything
Oliwia

@olivpear Hi Dear, Use Chrome and Kaspersky. Thank you for letting me know all is good, I will deal with Kaspersky so the messages stop coming up. Many thanks xxx
-
@ollie I use Chrome and Kaspersky together, could that be why i keep having to repair my clipper extension?
-
@izzystarsparkle I have that problem too
-
@izzystarsparkle Hi Izzy, Kaspersky really does not like the clipper, it keep telling me to resolve the problem and I have not been using it enough yet to find out if Kaspersky is going to try and remove it on it's own which is why maybe you have to keep repairing it ??
-
@izzystarsparkle @mae I just researched as to why Kaspersky does not like the clipper, it considers it to be adware (collects info with users consent) or malware collects info without users consent. @olivpear Does the clipper collect data please from individual pc ? Thank you
-
@izzystarsparkle @mae @olivpear My Clipper has disappeared, Kaspersky has removed it on its own
-
@Ollie @izzystarsparkle @mae Ladies, you will need to mark URSTYLE Clipper extension as safe software in your Kaspersky program.
I found this YouTube video showing the process for programs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrMrrRXNXkg . It might be similar for browser extensions, please try to research that.
I'm using Windows 10 Defender, so I unfortunately do not know how Kaspersky works... Good luck!
