Affordable car rental options in Barcelona

Planning to hit Barcelona this summer, really want to see Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, and the other Gaudí masterpieces scattered around the city. I'm an architecture student, so for me exploring those buildings beats lying on a beach any day. Though Barcelona's nice because you can do both once summer hits. Trying to figure out if there are decent budget car rentals there, I'm not really a fan of being stuck on buses and metros the whole trip.

Barcelona's got a lot to cover, the buildings you mentioned are in completely different parts of town. Public transport can eat up a lot of time when you're hopping between sites, especially if you want to see stuff outside the main tourist circuit. Budget rentals do exist but summer is peak season so prices go up and availability drops fast. Book ahead if you can, and check if parking is included or if you'll need to hunt for street spots.

You'll find tons of buildings worth studying that aren't even in guidebooks, whole blocks of modernist architecture that barely get noticed. Having a car lets you explore residential neighborhoods where some of the best work is hiding. You could look at car rental options in Barcelona here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/spain/barcelona .
