A May visit to Egypt, what to expect from the climate?

  • Hi everyone! My mates and I are organising a vacation to Egypt in May - it's the only month we're all free. We know it's probably going to be expensive, but we've got no other choice. Can you tell me what the weather's like in May, please? So, should we expect it to be hot or cold? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  • Well, yes, May in Egypt is already the start of the season, and the weather there is usually great. On the coast it's about 30°C, and the sea is around 26°C, so it's nice and warm for a swim or a sunbathe. We haven't been there in May yet, but our friends have been on holiday there and they were afraid it would be too hot and expensive as summer is coming up. They found this article on the GetExperience website - https://getexperience.com/blog/posts/best-time-to-visit-egypt really helpful, you know, the one that talks about what the weather's like in Egypt, and when's the best time to go. They booked a hotel in advance to avoid the high prices, and they had an amazing vacation. I reckon everything's gonna be great for you too! Give me a shout if you get a chance!
