♡ Chaeyeon has been interested in music ever since she was little, her dream to pursue music has been her major drive for the most part in her life, she auditioned to many companies and she chose Source Music as her first company in 2013. The singer even trained alongside the debuting line of GFriend and was a candidate to debut with them but after a knee injury, she was removed from the line up and decided to leave on good terms. Chaeyeon joined Pledis Enterteinment in mid 2015 and was a fan favorite for Pledis' Next Girl Group (which would become Pristin), even making a cameo in Seventeen's Mansae Music Video, however, she left the company before Produce 101 in 2016 when she got transferred to Solstice Media (formerly To Be Enterprise).
♡ Although all of the Cherry Bomb members participate in the writing and composition of their music, Chaeyeon has been the main producer of the group starting from 2020 onwards. The idol also reveals it's very likely that if she hadn't debuted in Cherry Bomb, she would've pursued song-writting; asides from her own group, Chaeyeon has also written songs for KnT, Emilia Park, STYLISH, CUPID, SoAh and PLUPLUS+
♡ Coming from an actors family, her second passion is acting and she loves to watch shows with her members and family whenever she has the chance to. It's also very common to see her reading scripts between schedules as she prepares for her acting roles. As of January 2024, she's been in 'The Sound of Magic' and 'Gyeongseong Creature' in the main roles.
♡ Chaeyeon loves musical theater and always makes time on her schedule to watch live theater wherever she is, her all time favorite musicals are Anastasia & Newsies
♡ She appeared in The King of Masked Singer as a rookie in February of 2019, she received a lot of positive attention for her heavenly vocals and even made it close to becoming a winner in the show. She was known under the alias Snow Queen
♡ It is very common to see romance as one of the main inspirations for her songwritting which is why she's known as the group's hopeless romantic member. Chaeyeon is also often-times seen reading romance novels or watching romance movies/dramas as they're the ones she enjoys most
♡ Chaeyeon is Cherry Bomb's worst cook and (according to Hana) is perpetually banned from cooking alone after accidentally setting a pan on fire. She can do a good job when her members are around to help her out, but on her own, chaos ensues in the kitchen
