Clipping / rejection
-
Why are clipped items from some websites rejected and not others? @admin
-
@fashionmonkey I am wondering that as well. will clip stuff from pinterest and some will clip and some won't.
-
this is so frustrating, is there a way to copy a photo to your desktop and then import it another way?

The most common reason for the image to reject is the size. It has to be at least 280 X 280 and not larger than I've found to be 825 X 825. When I use remove.bg I notice it gives me the size. I can get the size off of Lunapic.com as well. If it doesn't meet the size requirements it rejects and I have to resize it. Sometimes it blurs the image so you have to be careful with resizing. The same applies to Pinterest although you can't tell what size it is unless you use remove.bg or Lunapic.com. A lot of Pinterest images are too big and will reject.
Another reason maybe that the website doesn't allow clipping. You have to find various ways around it like saving it to your laptop then copying it to Urstyle. Some sites allow you to copy the image address to another site (remove.bg, Lunapic.com) and import it to Urstyle from there or just import it straight into Urstyle. A few sites just don't allow you to clip any more like Net-a-Porter.

@idetached Thank you for the response. Just too much work, LOL! I was gone for about a year and half and now that I'm back some of my go to sites won't let me clip. Something has changed in the clipping feature I guess. Oh, well. There are still many lovely items on the sites I can use.

@queenrachie71 Ahhh, bringing back my memory. Have been gone for over a year. I do seem to recall doing that with some sites. Thank you for the reminder.

The main reason is that some sites are blocking scrapers like our clipper tool.
But anyway, we are working on some updates -
@admin I figured out a work around for one site I've used in the past. It seems the photos are avif and I found an avif to jpeg converter then I copy the link to add items.
