Is it me...? S---l---o---w 🐌 Page Loading 🦥

  • Twisted Gypsies

Well, my LIKES are still MIA, and now, as I browse through my Set Gallery and through my Item Collections, and even while working in Create, items in my collections are extremely slow to load (both in the Create window and on the actual Collection pages) and often do not show up. When I browse through the collections of others, or their Set Galleries, same thing.

Maybe it's on my end. Maybe my ISP intentionally slowed me down so I would upgrade to the faster speeds they're offering now, yet other websites I regularly use are loading easily and just as quickly as they ever have.

I'm in New York State. Anyone else finding the slow loading/no loading image issue occurring in their neck of the woods, specifically on UrStyle? 🐢

Here's what a Set collection of mine (-- a collection where I collect Sets made by others that astound and inspire me) looks like when I open the page:

  • It's Your Imagination

@funkyjunkygypsy It has happened to me, but today has been normal.Whatever that is!

  • Twisted Gypsies

@laughingdog Normal... Hmmmm.... A word that does not register with me.

(We're overdue for an abnormal chat!!!)

  • Poetry In Motion (Art Group)

@funkyjunkygypsy Generally ok at my end, though I find a few tools are slow to function sometimes. Not particularly worried about likes being MIA more concerned that some of my items are still not back.

  • All Things Wedding

Yes, a sloth moves faster than my items loading, one pause by one, pause, many red hearts I gave others went AWOL, maybe your alien is getting revenge!

  • @funkyjunkygypsy Well abnormal and surreal sound good to me!

  • Hi! I sadly have to say a thing, those who follow me maybe know how much time I usually spend on urstyle, since the site was updated it seems to me to have gone back in time, when there were not many items yet, the site was slow and making sets was less simple. In addition to not being able to find all the items I was using anymore, and not being able to make sets easily, I can't even upload images from third parties, or my own images, this takes a very long time and in the end I get bored and I don't publish the sets. .
I know the @admin are doing a great job, and I'm sorry to have to write this.
another thing, it inspires me a lot to do sets for contests and seeing contests with neutral headings all the same gives me boredom and confusion, am I easily bored or am I not the only one?
I'm very sorry for the controversy @FunkyJunkyGypsy (I don't know how to create discussions and I vented here, I'm sorry)

  • Twisted Gypsies

@fm Oh, I do understand. I'm hoping the slow loading is a result of them working on glitches and not a result of the update itself!

  • @FunkyJunkyGypsy I am having slow times as well. I truly am discouraged by not having my likes on sets there because I try to go through every member based on where I left off with each member.

@jfcheney Yes! The lack of Likes is killing me! Even when I Like a Set now, after the update, it does not show up in my Likes. I've been working as much as I can on my Set Collections, which is where I feature my faves by genre. I think people appreciate it when a Set is collected to be "shown off". I also use these Collections as art galleries, to just browse through and enjoy, as well as a place to find inspiration when I'm feeling dulled. (That does not mean I copy.... I just might get in the mood to make a certain kind of Set or use a particular effect.) I organize my Collections, which is not easy, and now, with Sets and items missing or not showing up at all, I'm not a happy User. It may seem insignificant to some, but the organized item collections help me find just what I need. Some people do it by item color, but I don't have the patience to look at everything I've uploaded or collected that is, for instance, red. So I divide it by type; furniture, dresses, flowers, etc. This slow-loading and no-loading is really annoying!
