PLACE FOR SUGGESTIONS

  • Twisted Gypsies

@gypsy-jo Well said and I second all of it.

You asked about Winning Sets: In the contest forum, once the winners have been marked, could the set place settings be rearranged to have the winners at the top of the page, in order, so that people may go and comment to congratulate them? (Starting at the top left, put first place winner, then second place winner, then third, etc....) Otherwise you have to search through the entire board of entries to find the winners and chance missing one.

When you click on a contest that has been finished and see all the entries, look just above that and you'll see a link that says "WINNERS". It is another page, arranged exactly as you want it to be. Yay!

One down... More to go! 😀

  • @funkyjunkygypsy Thank you so much, that will make things much easier! Things may be right in front of our face, but it's still hard to see it all! One less thing, though, to try and work through....

  • Here are some suggestions that I have:

    Item Organizer

    • I liked the way it was on polyvore: you could "tag" items for yourself (for making sets) and then you could create collections. I'd like to make some collections that I won't be needing for the set making but they'd clog up the "my collection" site where I choose from collections to use items for my set (hope this makes sense)

    • It would be great if the description of the item was in the organizer. When I hover over it, it just says "unassigned" or something like that. The pics in the organizer are too small and sometimes I can't tell whether somethings a short or a skirt - I'd really need that for the making of sets though.

    Set Creating

    • Some colours (like there where on polyvore) would be great. Especially if we could make them "transparent"

    • If I'm creating a set I usually use my collections where I sorted my items. If I leave one collection I'm right back at the first page. If you have a lot of collections you need to go through a bunch of pages to find the collection you need. A drop down menu (again, like on polyvore) would be great so I can jump from collection to collection.

    What do you guys think?
Do you miss some other things from polyvore on here?

  • There is a "Terms of Service" on the site already. Click the left bars next to URSTYLE.

@teresamargit the ‘shapes’ tool in the ‘embellishments’ area of the editor (‘create’ page) allows you to pick different shapes and change their colors and opacity.

    @arjanadesign I think @Gypsy-Jo means a ‘Community Guideline‘.

  • Hi there, I just have two quick things:

    1. It'd be great if we could be able to change the color of large text like

    this

    1. I saw that the anchor function has now changed, and I love the new boxes, but being able to change the background, border and text color within them would be really helpful.

    Thanks.

Seconding this! It would be awesome if
    %(red)[text]
    =

    worked like

    %(red)[text]
    -

    The first code gives

    text

    While the second option gives

    text

    `-

@ayzrules a couple days ago we deployed some secret features 😎 look for UR icon in the post composer

  • @admin

None of this changes the fact that large text can’t have a color to it, which is what @mint meant and what @ayzrules quoted.

  • URSTYLE Team

@lecoupdefoudre correct, but we are upgrading this composer features and soon we will resolve also that requests 🙂

There is also a new "header" feature:

    Test header

    @admin DAMIAN!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👏 👏 👏

  • @jesuisunlapin Thanks! I didn't see that 🙀

Another thing I forgot to suggest: It would be cool if we could tag/organize liked items. It can be hard looking for something specific especially when you've liked a lot of items.

  • Style File

@teresamargit You can. If you click on the item, click on add to collection, you can then add it to a collection you already made or if you click on add new you can then create a new collection. I hope that helps.

  • @fashionmonkey Hey. Thanks. I recently figured that out but I'm still kind of unhappy with the collections.
On polyvore I was able to tag items first and then put them in collections.
I don't know how other users do it but I use the collections I made to organize items I have so I can easily find them.
But I'd also like to make "aesthetic collections" that are not necessarily helpful for the set-making.

  • A couple of things that I miss from polyvore that are super simple (and maybe lame?) are being able to see my sets in drafts and pushing all my items. Let me explain because that was super vague. In drafts, instead of just titles I'd like to see my set. I forget what's in these sets all the time so that would be so helpful. And by pushing all my items I mean like leveling them. There was a tool that you could use to have all items line up evenly at the bottom or any other sides, they could cluster or be spread with an even distance between them. I used those features so much they're incredibly missed. (Another thing, though this may be a glitch, tagging doesn't work?)

  • @frealbird I forgot this too 😅 I wish I could use collections other people have made that I've liked while creating a set.

  • Design Styles Defined

@teresamargit I also miss the tags so much! It was very easy to use multiple tags at once.

  • Does anyone else remember being able to put songs in sets? Good times 🙂

  • @followyourbliss I remember! I have sets here brought over from P'vore that are, "with audio" in their titles. Sound bytes with geese honking, song clips, etc. I know music now is more closely guarded so the artists get paid, but hearing the sound choices of other P'vorians ultimately sold music as well as fashion. It also broadened my musical spectrum, and for that, I'm thankful. Yes, I miss the joy of sets with music!
