Clipper Not Loading Items

    @The-Fantasist It would be wise to consider the fact that URSTYLE is a new, developing platform, completely free to use and dedicated to its users. Problems and bugs are being fixed, but they cannot always be resolved instantly. It is important to report the problem and then it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

    @vn1ta thank you for the updates, dear! It would be nice if the administrators could put a warning on the top of the site (similar to the cookie warning) when the clipper is not working. I just uploaded tons of unique items and I will probably have to upload them again later, because I didn't know it was not working. It is just a suggestion. I understand and appreciate all the hard work of URSTYLE team! Cheers!

    I left a comment yesterday regarding the clipper not loading items. I was only able to upload a very few taking into consideration that the amount of people uploading items is more than Urstyle can handle at one time. I understand and accept that. This morning the few uploaded items had arrived. However, this morning, I was going to upload the items that did not get uploaded yesterday. Again, it was not working. I will try to make a set with what I have. I hope eventually this will get resolved. I am so frustrated. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜†

    Dear @jesuisunlapin , unfortunately, they do not always know when the Clipper is having issues. Some errors are still not predictable as the system is very young. As soon as they find out about Clipper problem, they work on fixing it. Sometimes, certain things do not work well only at certain places, so it would not be wise to set up an announcement when problems are localized... I hope that you understand me ๐Ÿ™‚

    In any case, your items should be in the queue that is currently clearing up now. If your items do not show up in the next 24h, please message me.

    It may be a good idea to bookmark the links of your uploads until the Clipper becomes more stable. I have created a special folder for uploads and I have shown how you can do the same in this video: https://goo.gl/zax227 - it's very easy, you just drag and drop links into the bookmark folder. I hope that will help you a little โ™ฅ

    Dear @beverly , thank you for understanding ๐Ÿ™‚ Where did you try to upload the problematic items from? Did you open each item separately, or did the Clipper recognize items from an entire page? Did you try this: right-click on the image > "Open image in a new tab" and then Clipper upload?

    Please note that some items may be protected by the site owners, so they do not allow sharing them on other websites. Also, please note that items smaller than 280x280 cannot be uploaded on Urstyle.

    Vnita ~ I always upload from the same locations without any problems whatsoever. I have never had too many problems with uploading except for the past few weeks. I was able to finish the items that I could not upload the past few days. I am thinking that maybe some upload way too many at one time. I only upload what I need for a set or two. Any collections that I have may have created could have more items. I wish that some would not upload too many at once. It is quite obvious that it is too much data at one time for the system at present. Maybe Urstyle should limit the number of uploads per person until the site can take the load.     @vn1ta they knew the clipper was not working 8 hours before I clipped new items. A friendly warning about it would save us some time. I understand they donโ€™t want to display an error message, though. Bookmark the items will not solve the issue, but I truly appreciate your help and concern.     @jesuisunlapin I apologize, I didn't explain why I proposed bookmarking links. I'm saving the items that I want to upload that way - in case the Clipper doesn't upload them, I have them saved for another upload attempt. That's why I thought this solution might help you. ๐Ÿ™‚

    As for administrator's knowledge about Clipper issues - I do inform them about the user reports, but they see it after they wake up. They are in the GMT+2 zone. I hope that you understand. I will propose setting up a notification again.

    @vn1ta I get it, dear. I for one, rarely have time to upload items. When I do have time, I clip all the items I previously bookmarked at one time. I said it will not help, because I still have to clip the items again. Itโ€™s suffarable with the cookie warning, the descriptions etc. I swear Iโ€™m not complaining โ˜บ๏ธ I completely understand and respect everything you guys are doing!   • Well, a company named NorthStyle will not upload when using the clipper. I clipped various items from different locations yesterday. All of them showed up except those from this website.     Dear @maisondeforgeron , were you able to upload items from that site (North Style) before? Please note that certain sites protect their content and do not allow it to be linked to other sites, which is why they might dismiss the Clipper request.

  • @vn1ta No. I never tried before. Well, it clipped but didn't show up on ours. Is that possible even when they don't allow it? If so, then I won't waste my time with that company in the future.

    @vn1ta yes, dear! Actually the images never appear new or old. I haven't try again but I was just letting the team know, so they could do something about. I understand the hard work that they are doing and I get that we don't pay anything to be here. But it's kind of frustrating the current issues that we have, and all the updates we are having are great but I don't get how we still don't get basic things like notifications from comments or mentions and things like that... I have never write something like this because I feel like I was being ungratefull but I think it's the only way to let them know what we really want. Don't get me wrong I still love to be here but I feel like they are giving to us things that we don't need that much as a usefull notification system and other things that we had requested a lot on the suggestions post.

    Dear @ortegamariana thank you for the feedback. ๐Ÿ™‚ The thing is that all the bugs and new updates are being worked on - regardless of the fact that the system may seem imperfect, it truly requires a lot of work. The admins are checking "PLACE FOR SUGGESTIONS" topic and many of the things mentioned there were accomplished. Notification system improvements are definitely planned, but current priorities are Marketplace feature and iOS and Android apps. In any case, I will convey your message to the UR team and ask them to give higher priority to notification system improvements.
