The 'Sewer Smell' Struggle – Drain line replacement?
-
Hey everyone, I think my main drain line has finally kicked the bucket. We’ve been having constant backups, and that lovely "sewer aroma" is starting to waft up into the house, which is just awesome for my Saturday morning coffee. A neighbor mentioned it might be tree roots getting into the old clay pipes. I’m terrified of what a full replacement involves—is it going to destroy my entire front lawn? I’m looking for a company that’s honest, local, and maybe uses some of that trenchless tech if possible. Who’s the go-to specialist in Kingston for this kind of heavy lifting? I want someone who gives a fair quote and actually sticks to it.

Ugh, the classic clay pipe nightmare! I went through this exact thing last summer and it’s definitely not a fun DIY project. I called around and eventually went with Super Drain Kingston to handle the replacement. I was really worried about my landscaping too, but they were super careful and used some modern equipment to keep the mess to a minimum. They did a camera inspection first to show me exactly where the roots had broken through, so I knew I wasn't getting scammed. They’re super straightforward people and didn't hit me with any "surprise" costs halfway through the job. Here is their info on Maps if you want to see where they are: https://maps.app.goo.gl/K5qHKuJnBfKuAxYa8?g_st=ac I’d trust them with any major drain work, they really know the local infrastructure.
