Who has used statement templates from US banks?

  • I needed to prove my financial stability to rent a place in Los Angeles, but my bank statement from my home country was unsuitable. A friend suggested using a template from a US bank to make things look familiar to the landlord. I chose Chase, customized it for real amounts, and it turned out to be quite convincing. But I was a little hesitant about the importance of matching all the little details, like the address or the exact payment structure. Does it make a big difference?

  • I used the https://bankstatementgenerator.org/product-category/usa-banks/ service last year when I applied for a visa to study. The financial document was urgent and I didn't have an up-to-date bank statement in English. I chose Bank of America on the site, customized the dates, specified real transactions and even added recurring payments - everything looked super realistic. The service turned out to be understandable: you can edit directly in the template, and the final document looked like a real statement. The documents were accepted without any questions. I think that in such cases the quality of the template decides everything.

  • I had an experience with the Citi template - I made it for income confirmation when freelancing. My impression is that if you carefully adjust everything to reality and don't overdo it with “dream figures”, it's quite good. The main thing is not to be lazy and manually think through what payments could really be. There were no problems, but I realized that a template is only half the battle, the rest is in the details.
