Fun Facts
β₯ Julie is the only daughter of renowned French painter Γdouard Calixte and famous Japanese model Nakamura Akemi (also known as Amelia Nakamura). Initially, her celebrity parents were deeply concerned about their teenage daughter moving across the world to pursue a career as an idol, and they were firmly against it. However, once they recognized her passion and determination, they allowed her to give it a try. Her mother decided to move with her in 2018 to support her, with her father joining them in late 2023.
β₯ Julie has stated that the decision to participate in the survival show R U Next? was entirely her own. Unsure of whether she had what it took to become an idol, she chose to challenge herself and give her all during the show. Although she didnβt make it to the final debut lineup, she believes that the experience reignited her dream and gave her the opportunity to showcase her hard work to a wider audience.
β₯ Julie has always had a deep passion for music. She learned to play the violin and piano as a child and won several music competitions in France. However, despite her musical background, she feels more confident in interpreting songs rather than writing or composing them herself.
β₯ During her early days of training, Julie faced considerable frustration due to the language barrier and her difficulty completing the tasks set by her trainers. At one point, she even considered quitting after just two months. However, a chance encounter with Cherry Bomb's Tori, who spoke to her in French and encouraged her to keep going, changed her mind. Tori praised her dancing skills and expressed hope that they could share the stage one day. This meeting deeply inspired Julie, who has since looked up to Tori as both her role model and ideal type.
β₯ Julie is a massive fan of anime and manga, with her all-time favorite series being Love Live! Sunshine!!, Hunter x Hunter, and Mob Psycho 100. She also has a deep love for Sanrio characters, especially ChocoCat, whom she finds particularly cute and endearing.GIF Gallery
