- Charlie grew up in what most people would call a cult (very Scientology-coded but fictional), the only child of parents who were rather high up in the echelons of the community, unaware of how precarious their positions truly were with the blissful ignorance of a child
- Upon reaching the age of fourteen, she chose to leave as she didn't agree with the teachings, and she was taken in by her maternal grandmother who lived in upstate New York (who wasn't involved in the cult - likely this should have been her first clue but it took years before she ever questioned it)
- about a year after she was taken in by her grandmother, she managed to talk her way into a scholarship to a prestigious performing arts academy in NYC proper
- Growing up, she had wanted to become a Broadway actress, and this was her first step into accomplishing the goal, accepting the trials and tribulations the path would throw her way
- At sixteen, she twisted her ankle during dance practice and when the injury took a bit too long to recover, she was admitted to a hospital near the school and was diagnosed with EDS. Not that she was going to let that stop her
- While she was admitted to the hospital, she met Luca Daniels (luciferdaniels) during one of her usual walkabouts. Sitting still and recovering wasn't something she was capable of doing, and her determination resonated with Luca, a few years older than her and undergoing treatment for leukemia
- Luca introduced her to several of the things that kept him sane while undergoing treatment, including Hazbin Hotel as well as DR. As even the hospital staff couldn't argue that Luca would make himself worse by playing the game.
- He acquired and gave her her first Rig as well, once the staff realized Charlie wasn't going to stay in her room, as well as he was the first person to give her the nickname of Charlie (not in the least a reference to Charlie Morningstar although his own in-game persona was more inspired by other interpretations of Lucifer). From day one, the two became a rather unstoppable duo in-game and it was uncommon to see one without the other
- their relationship continued after she returned to the academy and he was sent home. Both in-game and out, developing into a romantic attachment that fascinated their fans even as they kept it rather on the down-low irl. Which was easier given the sheer nature of isolation he was forced into due to treatment and the busy nature of her studies and juggling her own illness
- However, good things weren't meant to last, and a year ago, Luca succumbed to his cancer and therefore one half of the duo disappeared from the game as well. Although his memory remains strong given Charlie's efforts to keep him alive however she can
- Things got even more thorny as she also discovered that her father was actually an undercover federal agent trying to collect evidence to take down the cult, especially once some of her anti-fans discovered the information as well and tried to use it against her as regards any sponsors who had interest in her. But it was just another hurdle placed in front of her and she cleared it just as easily as she had any of the previous ones
- Above all, she's mostly juggling auditions and gameplay in her downtime, which keeps her busy enough to ignore the anti-fans and anyone else trying to take her down
ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ ᴅᴇꜱᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ . Rather surprisingly to some (okay most) of the other players, Charlie has chosen to mostly stick with her appearance irl, aside from her traditional in-game attire of a wine-red corseted bodysuit along with calf-height combat boots. She’s ready to defend herself at any moment and prefers not to bog herself down with too many fantastical elements. She’s very inspired by Selene from Underworld, or at least Selene from the original films. Aside from the fact she’s added Luca’s in-game leather jacket to her uniform after his irl death, among the other inventory items she inherited from him
ᴠᴇʜɪᴄʟᴇ(ꜱ) . Angeldust: (main) Imprinted black and white doomcycle with wine-red details to coordinate with her outfit
Niffty: Doombuggy; generally black and wine-red, tricked out with semi-automatic weapons
Alastor: Doomcycle; wine-red with black details, sleeker than most doomcycles, inherited from Luca
ꜱᴋɪʟʟꜱ . telekinesis (not quite advanced enough to be truly considered abyssal draw but formidable enough when combined with some of her other abilities), shadow-summoning (who needs invisibility when one can just hide themselves in shadow?), vitality, a basic understanding of Fellspeake (Luca had been working with her on honing that before he died). She has a general grasp of her PM as well, extending a bit beyond her Imprint with Angeldust
ɪɴᴠᴇɴᴛᴏʀʏ . 2500 Wit, Luca's jacket, several close-range weapons (from Luca), Baruch stones (x3, 1 from Luca's inventory), Black Tome (x1), a journal (found in Luca's inventory as well and claimed by her once she discovered the information written inside), a raw crystal pendant (helps her focus her summoning abilities)
ꜱᴛʏʟᴇ . Outside the game, Charlie is rather the stereotypical aspiring actress in appearance. Athletic apparel, leotards, leggings/tights/super skinny jeans, oversized hoodies (several of which may have originally belonged to Luca). Converse or occasionally ballet flats for footwear, as heels don't generally mix well with her body issues. Overall, she dresses for comfort. Obviously in-game, things are a bit more utilitarian, but still form-fitting. On a whim once, with Luca, she got a tattoo of Charlie Morningstar on her left ankle (the one she'd injured that led to their meeting; Luca got one of Alastor)
ʟɪᴋᴇꜱ . soft fabrics, the theater, musicals, oatmilk chai lattes, Halloween, Hazbin Hotel, the Underworld franchise, the Alex Stern series, reading (especially scripts), living in NYC, thunderstorms, astrology, the music of Queen, DR racing, cats, owls
ᴅɪꜱʟɪᴋᴇꜱ . her EDS, feeling weak, losing people she loves, the cult, snakes, rejection (mostly in auditions), cold weather, taxi drivers, doctor's offices, hospitals, her anti-fans, crashing her babies (any of her vehicles)
ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ . In-game, Charlie's developed as sort of an enigma (especially after losing Luca; there was a moment where players thought they could take her out once she was on her own and she shut that down rather quickly and easily), but that doesn't mean she doesn't want anyone to figure her out. Both in-game and out. Stubborn on a bad day, determined and well-assured of her ability to accomplish her goals on the good. She accepts her delicateness yet woe to anyone who points it out. Both physically and psychologically, as she's gone through bouts of closing herself off from everything over the past year.
