Ode to my family was a well-performing single released by the band The Cranberries. The song talks about a complicated relationship between parents and children, essentially between Dolores and her parents. Dolores wrote the song while dealing with loneliness while on tour, even though surrounded by so many, she missed her loved ones. Dolores felt extremely confronted between her fame and her parents' desire to live a simple life. Her powerful and emotional voice always moves me, especially in this song, which reminds me so much of my father.
