Cherry Bomb's "Summer of Love" Showcase
-
The six membered girl group made their long awaited comeback this past Monday with sweet songs for the summer! The showcase was held with 100 present fans and friends of the members, it was also broadcasted live on Cherry Bomb's YouTube channel for anyone to watch whenever. The night's MC was Star Beam's Saeyoon who's a close friend and senior for the girls.
The opening features the girls with white and blue matching outfits that had the current trends for summer. The first song to be performed is their title track "Fallin' Love" with lyrics comparing falling in love with bungee jumping; showing their determination to take the next step in a relationship and truly trust their loved one. The song was written by Tori and Tay with a choreography by Umi and Tay
The second outfit is the one the girls wear for the most part of the event as they greet fans with their black and white outfits and begin the variety segment where they play different games and talk about their preparations for the comeback, Stylish promotions (Alicia) and Drama recordings (Pandora & Tori). They then perform their b-side "Love Bubble" after talking about the meaning behind the lyrics and how feelings bubble up on one's heart, and then proceed to the Q&A section with questions sent in by their close friends. The showcase ends with them performing their final b-side for the single album "Hold me Tight"
Q&A
-
To Alicia: When you're doing activities for STYLISH, how Cherry Bomb members supported you? (From Chaehee)
Answer: Ever since I started preparing for "WooWa" they kept encouraging me, practicing with me and even giving me snacks whenever they could. I remember Umi-unnie stayed up till late with me to help me memorize all the lyrics for the new songs and even gave me tips so I could improve my songwriting skills. Tori and Pandora-unnie too cheered for me a lot and Hana and Tay visited us constantly while practicing so I always felt supported. -
To Umi: What are the projects you want to do in the future? (From Yuta)
Answer: I had a lot of fun doing photoshoots for magazines so I would love to try more modeling in the future, for Cherry Bomb, I wish to be able to meet All-Ones from all over the world so when we get the chance, I would love to do a world tour and sing our songs together with everyone. I think it would be a fun experience and I would love to make it happen soon! -
To Tori: From all your songs, which ones you think would fit certain members better? (From Felix)
Answer: Cherry Bomb has a lot of different colors and even music genres so there are many songs that can fit our members. At the time I can say that for Hana... it's "Pretty Pretty", for Umi-unnie a song like "Curious" is a good match, Alicia's song would probably be "You&I", for Tay it's got to be a girl crush song so "Down Deep" it is, for Pandora-unnie it's gotta be "Secretive" specially currently (since she's good at not spoiling anything), for me I'd say currently it's "Look at Me" and of course for all of us it's our most recent comeback "Fallin' Love" -
To Pandora: Asides from "The Sound of Music" what other type of roles or projects would you like to act in next? (From In-Yeop)
Answer: I really have fun as Yoon Ai since she's so hardworking and wants to do her best. Honestly, next time I would love to do a complete 180 and maybe play a Villainess on screen. I want to play multiple characters now that I'm learning and taking baby steps in acting so hopefully I can find interesting characters I can give life into and learn from in the near future. -
To Hana: What's been the most challenging part about working on a solo and then featuring in a song by your own? (From Miyu)
Answer: At first, I felt very scared and I wasn't sure if I would be able to do well on my own as I've been relying on my members for the past four years now (debut+pre-debut) but after seeing Tori-unnie and Alicia-unnie do their own work on their solo promotions and how much they could explore with it, I felt hopeful and worked with all my might to give All-Ones, and even my Cherry Bomb members, something to be proud of. I also featured recently in Lucia's debut track "Nobody" and I will be participating in the stages along side her, when I heard the song for the first time I really liked it so being able to feature in the track has been a great experience! Lucia is not only a beautiful girl but she also has a beautiful soul and I can speak for all of us (Cherry Bomb) when I say we're all proud and happy sunbaes. -
To Tay: As someone who's been dancing for so long, what's been the hardest choreography to learn? (From Rosé) [Sent Question Through Video]
Answer: There have been many challenging choreographies throughout my life, some of them I can learn very quickly and end up being harder because of how much energy they require while others can take me a few days. However, rather than a song in particular, there was a time in my life in which it was hard to dance in general. I had a car accident when I was younger and I got my legs hurt there so for a while I struggled to walk and dance, during that time I even believed I wouldn't be able to dance again and that made me incredibly sad, but thanks to Rosé-unnie, Youha and my mom who gave me strength and cheered for me to get better, I was able to get back on my feet and dance in the stage as I am now.
