0K NOTES; moving here for now. i think my pitch to ayz, for this idea, was something like "a group/collab revolving around a gang of players of a hyper-femme magical fairy-tale-themed yugioh/pokemon-like card game" despite the fact that i am not at all well-versed in either.
0blivi0n Key decks are sold twenty random cards per pack for 100 credits at many shops. Given the sheer number of playing cards, it’s nearly impossible to get anything you need for your deck- which is why Pinocchio Cafes exist. They are places of “safe trading” where players can make trades for cards relevant to their decks without having to worry about receiving a phony. Fake 0blivi0n Key cards are pervasive in the market these days, but at Pinocchio Cafe’s there are vetted 0K employees (“Authorities”) on hand to scan cards for fakes. Of course, trades can be made anywhere, but it’s always a risk- one never knows
Since building a cohesive deck takes years and is extraordinarily expensive, the game is taken very seriously by those who play it. It has ceased to be a “game” once you’ve spent upwards of a thousand credits only to find one useful card for your meticulously curated deck (to say absolutely nothing of the psychopaths that attempt to collect special editions of their main deck). It’s not a pauper’s game for anyone that’s serious about it.
Players like to cosplay their deck’s main “hero” for arena matches.

- Deck Companion Lantern (”DCL”) Pocket - gives physical form of one “Hero” card at a time. How to use: slip Hero card into “pocket” and manifest a chibi-version of your favourite Hero card to take with you anywhere ! (Make sure the form keeps line of sight of player/pocket-holder to maintain physical form.)

I was thinking a bit about what kinda character to write (im still going with rumplstiltskin if thats ok with you!) and had a few random worldbulding thoughts while doing so
- maybe there's a cryptocurrency called 'key coin' (or key c0in, hahaha) that's popular amongst credit-strapped 0K players? still working out why it's named after the game specifically but i thought it'd be funny lol
- i was thinking about my char doing hackery stuff in some extent w the randomization mechanism and like, making fake cards to trade outside of pinocchio cafes lolol
- i don't know if we're doing anything outside of grimm fairy tales? but for w/e reason i was thinking about disney & a disguise/illusion-based mulan deck could be cool i think happy to develop this more for us if u'd be down for including it!
- concentrated solar power thingies reminded me of the pulpit/prism aesthetic?
- and if we decide to include them we make them more sparkly & rainbow ofc ;DDDDD
- was thinking about like, smart/internet-connected everything? your fridge has siri and bluetooth and is remotely controlled and you can play spotify (or our fake vers of it anyway ;D) on it kind of thing? OOH and also maybe some very basic holo-tech? maybe the holo-veil is sort of this super cutting edge product? could even name drop RUA in some way like semp did in her aotu character sheet if you're down for it hahahhaha
- i think current mag-lev trains are all sleek & bullet-y (one from china!) to maximize speed, so no reason to not have mag-lev carriages for us ;DDD could honestly also see multiple mag-lev 'lanes' built side by side to mimic the way roads are set up IRL! with the crystall-y carriages (auto-piloted too? with holographic sparkles and butterflies?) moving back n forth

- were you thinking that the cards were physical or digital? i was sort of envisioning a mix? like each card is a super sleek phone-sized thingy that, when powered on, displays the info & abilities of the card & is connected/synched to the player's general username/acct? sorry if im messing this up though

for the solar stuff! concentrated solar power is a bunch of mirrors/lenses reflecting sunlight into that tall tower thingy like in the pic - after that it works the same way that most fossil fuel power plants do (i'll spare you all the technical details hahaha); the mirrors themselves are called 'heliostats' (maybe the main power company in 0k world calls them 'helio-crystals' for the ~branding~??
) and some of the current ones today use molten salt which also felt appropriately 0K 
for actual solar panels, i went googling to see if they all had to be blue and look! there's apparently already tech out there today to make them aesthetically pleasing
so i think its TOTALLy plausible for prism city can have crystalline-lookin solar panels
