[NEWS] Ryuna in talks for "Princess Hours" & "Island"


  • After Dear.M was transferred to the later date (presumably in August), Star Beam's Ryuna already have new 2 drama offers!

    First is the remake of "Princess Hours" in which she is in talks for the lead role of Chaekyung which previously played by Yoon Eunhye. She is also considered one of the fan favorites for the lead role.

    She also reported to be in talks to replace Seo Yeji in OCN's "Island" as a the chaebol heiress Won Miho due to recent events. The drama adaptation of the fantasy manga of the same name is about the secrets of Jeju Island. Kim Namgil confirmed to be the male lead while Astro's Cha Eunwoo is postively considering the role of a young exorcist priest.

    Ryuna is the female in KBS2's college rom-com "Dear.M" opposite NCT's Jaehyun as childhood best friends, Jo Narae & Cha Minho. The drama was supposed to premiere in February 26 but it was postponed due to the widespread bullying rumors against various celebrities. As for now, it was presumed to premiere in August while the police investigation is still ongoing.

    While Ryuna was never a bully in high school, some trolls manifesting bad things to her to the extend that her boyfriend, NCT's Kun, received insensitive questions regarding their relationship and her real personality in fan signs for WayV's latest comeback, "Kick Back". Ryuna light-heartedly assures fans that Kun is not a jealous type but rather a very supportive and chill boyfriend who let her pursue her career ambitions both as a singer and as an actress.

    For the meantime, Ryuna engaged in various activities as the leader of Star Beam through many contents on social media and appearing in various TV shows (recently, the Kelly Clarkson Show). Recently, Star Beam became one of the idol groups who experienced reversed charting in different domestic and international charts with 3 songs that was originally released in 2018: "Super Boy", "Click" & "Starry Moment".

    Star Beam is preparing for their upcoming summer comeback this year.
