Naith was raised in the high peaks of the mountains where a clan of giants are known to dwell. Needless to say, she's not used to the way the Highborns live. The opulence is a bit lost on Naith — she much prefers a starry sky and a nice, warm fire. A bit of lake char to fill her belly. But Naith believes in the merit of being where she is, the Prince's personal physician and seeker of uncommon remedies. They happened to have a run-in while each was hunting in the mountains — the Prince and his coterie for sport and Naith for necessity. Their friendship developed quickly, and Claramond found her expansive knowledge of the natural world totally fascinating. While Naith doesn't readily divulge information about her childhood — how she came to live alone in the mountains — she does stress that she is not an orphan and that she was well-taken care of as a little one. Irek and the others like to say she was probably "raised by wolves" [especially, since she eats like some sort of starved animal]. The truth is much more unbelievable.
