BREAKING NEWS!
Not just is today the first day of Royal Ascot (one of the most important events for royal watchers), it was also the first time that the future Princess of Wales attended the Race next to her soon-to-be husband.
And while everyone was craning their necks for what the future bride was wearing, some hawks under you spotted something new on the Prince of Wales.

After his hospitalization following the attack in Afghanistan, the Prince of Wales needed a cane for walking, due to a shattered knee cap (not sure on this one, I just know that there was something with his knee). And this time, the cane was super special.

Made out of wood, covered in black enamel, with a golden handle that was formed after a lion's head, clearly inspired by his coat of arms.
The top of the cane seemed to be hand painted, showing his coat of arms, detailed with gold. Around the coat of arms were different flowers, including shamrocks, the Irish national flower.

And, being the well-informed blog that I am, I am 100 percent sure that the cane was actually made by his fiancee, who is a well-known artist herself. And blessed with some talent. Last year, it was leaked to the press that there was a portrait in Ben´s office that was painted by Lily. Oh, I would love to see it. I bet it´s stunning thinking about what was displayed at some of her earlier exhibitions.

But this was just a little urgent Breaking news, I´ll head back to the racing now, I made a bet on one of the horses.
