Ryuna dishes us on Star Beam's US debut experiences, her upcoming drama "Dear M" opposite NCT 127's Jaehyun, her friendship with other idols and staying grounded no matter what.

How is debuting in the US during the pandemic?
It was fun in spite this pandemic. We got more control in our content unlike our rookie years. We became more cautious when filming so we can't spread the virus. The enthusiasm is the same that's why we came up with different ideas~~~
It's not fun because we can't see ByulBis personally but I hope they are happily safe at their homes. To make up with that situation, we constantly communicate with them through SNS but we try our best to keep some aspects private.
It's not also fun because some fandoms trolled us harder than ever and called us names. Yeah, it really hurts. If they don't like us, just focus on their faves. Stop being obsessed with us
But seriously those haters inspired us to be grounded and more mindful of our actions and words. Maybe they have a point or maybe they exist to torment us.
What is the most memorable appearances to you during this debut?
I guess when we visited Good Morning America and The Late Late Show with James Corden since we don't have to introduce ourselves anymore because we already performed there last year to promote our tour.
Also the iHeartRadio Festival is so memorable since we are in the same lineup as some artists that we looked up to. It's crazy
And what's the happiest moment in that promotion period? We got to play with our pets while answering fan questions for Buzzfeed
How do you practice English?
At least an hour, all of us would converse in English before we start the interviews
Okay you already collaborated with Ava Max as featured artist in "OMG What's Happening". What is your TMI?
We were literally tired and drunk as hell in the dorm then our CEO told us that Ava Max wanted to featured us in her album. I thought that it was a joke. But the next day, we did our recording
What is interesting is that you wrote the B-Side "All I Need" with 2 [NCT] WayV members, Kun & Yangyang. How do you work this song?
Actually Kun & I chatted each other almost everyday
[insert SeuBim members smirk memes]...to work on the song. Okay, Kun & I are just workmates okaySo.. Yangyangie? He like our little brother and he speaks English better than me
But he helped us in writing the lyrics. This boy will go places 
I know you already cleared that the seven of you don't have any knowledge about NCT 2020. Did you meet Shotaro & Sungchan already?
No... Trust me~~~ I didn't know these two until the news came out
Even one of the members who filmed with Dreamies did not know about that. I thought it was just a Dreamies comeback after WayV's promotions, that's it. But I hope we [Sungchan, Shotaro & I] will mingle well.Moving on, you will be in a drama with Jaehyun called "Dear.M", what is your first reaction with this?
I was pretty shocked since the drama will be a spinoff of a well-known webdrama, Love Playlist plus Jaehyun is my leading man. Of course, there is pressure but Jaehyun & I are pretty comfortable with each other. I'm excited for the filming to start
What I just observed that media used to pit you against BLACKPINK as rivals thanks to Saeyoon & Rose's "boy trouble" with Jaehyun but these girls are good friends. Now Jeonah & Jennie are starting to open up about each other
Yeah... I always tell the members that I will never tolerate boy trouble because they are not worth the tears. Before they [KNetz] call me a hypocrite, let me tell you, Saeyoon is okay with me being the leading lady of Jaehyun and she knows what the limits are. Also Rose is a nice girl. All of BLACKPINK are really nice girls. I'm happy that Tay [Cherry Bomb] helped Saeyoon & Rose clear up things.
As for Jeonah & Jennie, I understand that Jeonah has a hard time to open up about their friendship because of Jennie's status in the industry but she is very nice person in real life. Hope that Jennie will join Jeonah & Yein [Jeonah's BFF in UrStyle] in playing games in the future.
I think Yujia & Lisa could be good friends too. Jisoo, if you are reading, let's go to Awsaz together LOL
What are your goals for the rest of the year?
I hope we can be healthy and have at least an award since we worked so hard and sacrifice a lot. No more tragedies for the rest of the year. I have enough. If I became greedy, maybe a collab with NCT 2020 will not hurt
