• loyal: he's extremely dedicated to his loved ones and would kill or be killed for the important people in his life.
• articulate: he prides himself on being well spoken and believes it makes him come off as more
• genuine: not once in his life has amos felt like he needed to be anything other than himself. he was already everything he needed to be successful in his endeavors.
• humorous: amos has always been one to find a way to lighten the mood in any situation and he quickly found that humor made almost everyone comfortable and happy.
• perfectionist: both a positive and a negative, he loves to have things planned out which is a good thing for short term plans, but often leaves him feeling like he's flailing when his long term plans don't come to fruition like he wanted.

• vain: he feels like he is destined for greatness in his life which can come off as dickish when he doesn't mean it too.
• reclusive: not usually, but when he feels dejected and off course in the plan for his life he tends to separate himself from others.
• hot-headed: he has the unfortunate tendency to get upset about even small things and his temper boils over quickly, but he's fast to apologize after his spats.
• envious: it's often hard for him to see people who have achieved success before him and can easily be turned to jealousy when he feels like he's not progressing as he should in his life.

• when most people think of amos diggory they think of a well spoken and kind man who's extremely dedicated to his friends and family as well as his studies. but, there's always been a resulting air of someone who is just a bit too stressed out for being an owlet trainer. perhaps he puts too much pressure on himself, but those thoughts are often quickly diffused by his glowing smile and sense of humor. unless you happen to catch him in a spell of self loathing, he seems to be a perfectly charming young man.

.‧ ⁺ ˚ * ･ ༓ ★ ════════ 𝙱 𝙸 𝙾 𝙶 𝚁 𝙰 𝙿 𝙷 𝚈 ════════ ★ ༓ ･ * ˚ ⁺ ‧.

Amos grew up fairly normal in terms of a wizarding family. His mother and father doted on him as a child and promised that he would go on to achieve great things as he grew older. Amos held those words close to his heart.

The second he entered Hogwarts he felt his destiny exploding in front of him. The rest of his life was just in reach and if he worked hard he would accomplish everything his parents promised he would. Schooling came naturally to Amos (well, everything besides potions but that was another story). He loved being able to string words together to express his thoughts beautifully, and it payed off well. He was one to make fast friends as well and truly did find his second family within the warmth of the Hufflepuff common room. Not to mention the love of his life.

Violet Lamb. Violet Lamb was the single most beautiful human being Amos had ever seen in his life. Not only was she gorgeous, she was the smartest person he'd ever met and could rival any Ravenclaw. Just ten minutes with her could make you feel like you'd learned more than any class you'd taken in your life. She was gentle and kind and always knew exactly what to say. Unfortunately, her Hogwarts experience wasn't as positive as it should have been. She was a muggle born, and because of that she bore too many harsh words from small-minded students. Amos had, unfortunately, been one of those small-minded students before getting a swift kick in the ass by reality. She was honestly a better wizard than he was. She encouraged him to take the offered muggle studies classes, and since he desperately wanted to impress her he payed more attention to those classes than any other.

Anyone you would have asked at that time would have told you that Violet and Amos would be the first of their year to be married. The two would brush off those comments, but they silently knew that it was true. At least, he had hoped. Those bastard Death Eaters had other plans for them. Violet was violently ripped from their bright future together, and Amos didn't know how to go on. For months he kept to himself in the flat they had shared in the city, a shell of who he had once been without her light. He lost much of his drive to accomplish anything and has only recently slowly started to pull himself out of that darkness.

He moved flats, unable to live with the specter of Violet that seemed to follow him around those now dark rooms. Those baby owls were his new, and only, companions as he slowly rejoined society and tried to find a way to bring justice to his love.
