Crossover Drabbles for @amaliaofwales

A/N this is just a random drabble that I wrote for my friend @amaliaofwales, who I knew since my days on Polyvore.
This is probably just the start of a small series of drabbles, depending on
if the other girls are interested in it xD-
They met in 2016 during the 90th Birthday dinner of Ben´s somewhat-removed aunt Elizabeth, The Duchess of Windsor, who is also a Princess of Greek and Denmark by marriage

which was great for Ben because sitting next to a military man will always guarantee some good conversations

Meanwhile, Lily and Amalia talked about their kids, after all Lady Amalia gave birth just a few months ago to their first daughter in February that year

They talked about what live was like as young mothers (well, Lily wasn´t that young of a mother anymore, after all she gave birth in the late summer of 2014)
-
They also talked about dogs (as both of them were owning rescue dogs), british literature and tennis, which was a hobby, but not a talent of both of them
-
The evening ended for the both of them when they had to haul their husbands (they apparently had found a very good stack of whiskey and devoured it, which was highly unlikely for both of them
-
Which only made it funnier for their wives, which had to drag them out of the room, the two men in each others arms and receiting old army songs

After that night, the two women kept contact, often meeting for play dates on the weekends at Lady Amalias family house, Kings Walden
-
They also met regulary in the summer at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where Lady Amalias Family stayed for a week

The week mostly consisted of bbq´s made by the men (they really loved playing with fire), hiking and long walks, fishing and outdoor games
-
When the men were busy running around with the kids outside, the two women spent a lot of time doing yoga or playing tennis, trying to build their skills
-
What Lily loves the most about her friend is that she can always trust her to listen to her and her problems, without having to fear that she will run to the next best pap to sell it

They share a lot of interests, such as reading and yoga
-
Whenever they meet, they can let their kids run and just enjoy a nice cup of tea while talking about god knows what (which includes some gossip, of course)

She enjoys talking to Tommy as well becuase, while Amalia is always the voice of reason, Tommy is someone you can blow up to about the things that piss you off without being told that there are other reasonable solutions

Ben enjoys Amalia´s presence as she is someone his wife can talk to about things that she wouldn´t talk to him about and ease her mind

He also trusts her with helping his wife resolving her body issues, esp after she gave birth since it was something Amalia knew as well

He spends a lot of Time with Tommy, bathing in old memories of their military days and talking about what it takes to be a father
-
The kids get along well as well, as they are close in age, loving to draw and play together
-
All in all, the two families share a friendship that was build through mutal interests and background, as well as bonding over the friendship of their kids

Ohhhhhhh my gosh, this is so lovely, thank you so much for incorporating so many of Mia and Tommy's hobbies and characteristics!!!! I loooooved the part about Ben and Tommy talking and getting drunk over a bottle of whiskey
Also, Ben could be Ben's godparent.... after all, they share their first name
