[NEWS] MBF Ent to take legal action vs. trolls re: Saeyoon being dragged into the 97 Line Itaewon fiasco

  • Star Beam's Kim Saeyoon was being dragged into the issue of the 97 liners in Itaewon incident thanks to the trolls.

In case you don't know, before the first reported COVID-19 case in Itaewon, Mingyu (Seventeen), Eunwoo (Astro), Jungkook (BTS) & Jaehyun (NCT 127) dined together sometime on April. The four of them were declared negative and already apologized to the fans.

As the news broke out, haters and trolls, camped on Saeyoon's personal SNS account by flooding malicious comments against her by questioning her friendship with Jaehyun & some haters took it too far by slut shaming her by spreading rumors that Jaehyun & Saeyoon have an intimate relationship.

Her agency, MBF Entertainment released their statement today:

    "Hello, this is MBF Entertainment

As we talked to Saeyoon yesterday, Saeyoon was deeply affected with those rumors and comments. Saeyoon is a hardworking member who wants nothing but to give happiness to their fans and improve her artistry.

Saeyoon rarely go out during 'Love is Over' promotions for safety purposes but instead, she turned to SNS to communicate with her family, friends and fans only to found out that people dragged her into the mess that she is not involved.

After careful discussions, we decided to protect Star Beam from trolls by take legal action. Saeyoon will continue her activities as she prepares for the repackaged album with the rest of her teammates while she is on SNS hiatus before the comeback.

Also we are sending our regards to Mingyu, Jungkook, Eunwoo and Jaehyun. We hoped that they will bounce back from this ordeal.

Thank you for your concern and support for Star Beam."

This is not the first time that MBF Ent take legal action for malicious comments during the Covid-19 pandemic. Before "Love is Over" promotions, Yujia was the target of xenophobic comments because she is a Chinese.

Star Beam will release their repackaged album this June.
