☾ | 𝓐𝓬𝓬𝓮𝓷𝓽: She actually doesn't have much of an accent at all. It's a bit weird. Having been brought up in upper-crust India, she was educated in very exclusive international schools before coming to Hogwarts. Because of that, she doesn't have an accent per say but the way she talks is definitely very intellectual.
☾ | 𝓢𝓽𝔂𝓵𝓮: Effortless, decadent, graceful. She loves jewelry and Indian handicrafts and handlooms. If anything is handmade, you know Sitara is wearing it. She doesn't necessarily like big brands. Sitara also loves to accessorize and loves high heels. She loves the idea of being very organic and her personal style reflects it. She doesn't particularly like bright colors and prints. But her favorite colors are blue and green, and most of her clothing in her wardrobe are comprised of those colors.

She really doesn't like the large brands and loves these sort of garments and objects. Her room is filled with handicraft items, her clothes are all handloom and hand stitched. She really has a passion for learning this cultural heritage and is happy to spread and educate people about that. Comment on her garments or her handicraft objects, and she will begin informing you about all of the cultural heritage associated with that specific tradition.

☾ | 𝓟𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓬𝓼: Strictly against it, primarily because she too herself is a half-blood. But more than that, because it makes no sense to her at all.

𝔹𝕀𝕆𝔾ℝ𝔸ℙℍ𝕐

Sitara is the second daughter of the Kulkarni family. The Kulkarni name, although originally Maharashtran, is famous across India. Originally, Mihir's grandfather set up the Kulkarni Industries about 60 years ago, right after India's independence a little outside Mumbai. Since then, the company has quickly expanded into every single major manufacturing sector in India. Mihir himself, grew up in Bangalore, where he met the love of his life, Kashvi. It was literally love at first sight. Their parents introduced them, hoping for a potential marriage alliance and within a week, both said yes. 6 months later, they were married in a lavish, Indian wedding ceremony held in the heart of Bangalore.

While Mihir came from an industrial family, Kashvi's family were celebrated academics, intellectuals and poets. They also were veelas, but that conveniently was never mentioned. It is from her side that Sitara and her sister, Zivah inherited their magical legacies.

By the time Sitara was born, Zivah was already at Hogwarts. Therefore, she really only ever saw her sister during vacations. Because of that, it was almost as if she was raised as an only child. Zivah frequently jokes that Sitara was a product of her parents' boredom (wink wink if you know what I mean). Growing up, Sitara had her parents' undivided attention. Like all children, she was placed in a school, an international school of course. Sitara grew up learning to speak 5 languages- English, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Sanskrit and German. In school, she was an extrovert. Constantly in trouble for something or the other, she was a notoriously fun-loving figure who could do absolutely nothing wrong in her father's eyes.

And then, she turned 10. Things began to happen. It was small things. Every time her school bus got stuck in traffic, Sitara would wish it would teleport like in the movies and end up in front of the gate of her house... and it would oddly enough. Tired of the wet, dreary weather of Bangalore, Sitara would wish sunlight so she could go out and play... and for a few hours, the rain would stop, before resuming again once she went in for dinner. And if she forgot something at home and wished she'd have it in school, it would suddenly be in her backpack. Sitara thought nothing of these incidents of course. But eventually, they became more and more prominent and soon enough, her mother began to notice. Kashvi knew of course her daughter probably would inherit her magic, just as her older daughter had done. So this was no real surprise to her. Her suspicions were confirmed when Sitara finally received her acceptance letter from Hogwarts at the age of 11.

Like her sister, Sitara was also sorted into Ravenclaw. Her life at Hogwarts has honestly been fascinating. She loves it really, just as she loves magic. But truthfully, staying away from her parents has been tough. However, she has gotten better at it. At Hogwarts, she was introduced to a whole new world, literally. Fascinated by the library and the prospect of learning so much more, Sitara is more than happy to stay at Hogwarts and explore her academic ambitions to her fullest.

𝔽𝔸𝕄𝕀𝕃𝕐

The Kulkarni family almost seems to have stepped out of Bollywood. They're fun-loving, spontaneous, loud, uber talented, graceful, super good looking (suspiciously even), and just super fun people to be around.

Kashvi has never been the typical "Indian mother." Always a bit aloof, regal and withdrawn, she's hard to get close to. But that applies to everyone but her family. To her family, she's fun-loving, spontaneous and warm. But even then, she's usually the one who lays down the law and in general is the disciplinarian. Having said this, Sitara adores her darling mummy.
