โฃ Eleven years younger than her next closest sibling in age, Ruth is so tired of always been looking at as the whiney little baby or the little kid by everyone in town. She longs to have an image that isnโt one of the little girl who road her tricycle through the sheriffโs station.
โฃ Winning a scholarship to {๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐} was the best thing thatโs ever happened to her, Ruth swears she used dream of what it would be like passing through those gates and sitting with those girls. She doesnโt have any friends in the kids her age in town but who needs them when she gets to mingle with the gorgeous, elite and cool students of {๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐}.
โฃ It felt pretty instant that Ruth was welcomed into the cool circles of her new school, sheโs exceptional at making everyone around her feel validated and seems the perfect background player for anyone. Itโs almost as if Ruth isnโt capable of selfishly trying to shove herself to the forefront of any situation, sheโs there to support and stand in the background making things go smoothly.
โฃ In fact one of the few ways Ruth stands out a bit is in her artistic side, Ruth is usually working on upcycling things she found at the thrift store to fit in more with the girls in her grade. The whir of her sewing machine is nearly constant after she makes a run to the goodwill and joanne fabrics, turning out attempts at the latest trends. Her time is also spent painting, sheโs made a mess of many a pair of overalls doing so but she also has made unique pieces for all her classmateโs dorms.
โฃ If thereโs one thing that feels off about Ruth is that no one seems to remember when they met her, she doesnโt want to rock the boat though and make anyone uncomfortable so she just laughs it off but she doesnโt have a clue of how she met or befriended anyone just that theyโre friends.
โฃ Plus if there is anyone who wants help with whatever messed up shit is happening to them or needs a cover Ruth is the perfect gal for that, she is way too normal to be mixed up any of the suspicious things going around at {๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐}. And with her daddy as the town sheriff heโd never suspect any of precious little Ruthieโs friends of anything.

โฃ She claims to have gotten bangs over the Christmas holiday but ruth just ordered a bunch of options of clip on bangs from amazon because her favorite tik toker has bangs, plus Florence Pugh did as Amy in Little Woman and Ruth wanted to be trendy
โฃ Ruth seems to have vivid memories of some of the girls whose picture line the trophy cases or appear in old yearbooks. She can tell you that holly pederson from class of 1987 was allergic to bees and has apparently strong opinions on the engagement ring susan evans from class of 1964
โฃ Ruth is getting semi well known in certain circles of tik tok which is super exciting for her, but people keep asking where she gets those ideas for her POVs and Ruth has no clue they come to her in dreams. Plus sheโd like die if her friends found them (ugh so cringe)
โฃ Has a reputation for seemingly only dating the blandest of whitebread not even a smidge of toast on her boys, because why should Ruth go for anyone interesting it's not insecurity Ruth just can't seem to find herself interesting enough either
โฃ Her friends talk about going to these fancy colleges, universities or traveling the world after graduation but Ruth's never left the town she grew up in. She's not worldly at all and she doesn't have any ideas about her future.

Ruth is a gem, sheโs endlessly kind and effortlessly friendly. So what if she is a bit of a pushover Ruthโs compliments go a long way and it makes sense that sheโs so well-liked for a cheerleader. She can be a little cringe sometimes with her Tik Toks and endless desire to fit in with her more well-off classmates, but hey havenโt we all just liked something and wanted to be accepted. Her biggest point of dislike is that Ruth rarely if ever takes anyoneโs side in an argument except maybe the schoolโs whenever anything weird happens. You need someone to vent to about how terrible everything is going or the perfect partner to dance around your room the newest Harry Styles single, Ruth is your girl. Sheโs always there for her friends in whatever way she can be, compassion and kindness are kind of her things. Ruth also is the friend who if you ask her to do something she does just that no questions or anything, itโs loyalty she says. Ruth isnโt really the star of any show. No, sheโs a follower, a side character to someone elseโs breakout role and thatโs the kind of friendships that tend to work best for her. Ruth wants someone to support and care for, she wants to be their guide to the small town and learn from them in the wonders of the outside world. Ruth wants to make sure that no one thinks her friends are up to no good and if they are Ruth wants to protect them from any wandering suspicions. Marloweโs carefree and chatty nature totally aligns with Ruthโs and she knows the girl will be there for her. If only Marlowe would stop talking about this supposed sister, Ruth canโt deal with it or the headache she gets thinking about it. Her dad wonโt say anything but if she mentions that sheโs hanging out with her he gets weird and Ruth hates being stuck in between two people she cares about.

Her friend is hurting in a private way, the kind of thing Ruth is always there to be a shoulder to cry on for but itโs this thing with Marloweโs sister that is giving Ruth migraines. She canโt choose who to believe and frankly, Ruth is scared of the choice sheโd make.

She isnโt quite sure why thatโs the case when Trinity is picked on but Ruth steers clear of actually making a connection with her, sheโs stopped by her dorm room before and felt like she was not welcome but never by Trinity.

Itโs this that has caused Ruth to have trouble seeing any of the negative in Laurel, sheโs always going to cherish the pristine image of her.

Sometimes Laurel rolls her eyes at Ruthโs immaturity and sheโs been one to catch the brunt of Laurel snapping often but Ruth is always back again with a sweet smile and the suggestion of just taking the afternoon to paint.

But with the complete personality change after returning maybe just maybe Ruth is more inclined to give him a chance especially since he seems to have lost his best friend in addition to being missing.

Ever since that day Ruth has given Elias an even wider berth and avoids her whenever possible, too bad their teachers havenโt caught onto that (maybe because Ruth claimed the red mark was her falling off a skateboard) and paired the girls up to sit next to each other in just about every shared class with their alphabetical seating charts.

Her biggest issue with Eleanora is the looks she gets at her clothes, itโs not hard to put together why a rich girl would look down on her. Ruth just tries to make it not seem as such and keeps putting forward kindness until she canโt anymore.

She tries to be nice but the constant icy behavior is getting to her and she canโt exactly stand up to her friends who too try to befriend her without admitting why.

Sure some of Ruthโs friends can be catty but Madison is absolutely a mean girl and most of the time it seems so unnecessary.

Thing is Ruth is stuck on one side of the argument between Violet and Laurel and the friendship she could/should be having is over there. Violet is incredibly cool and so self-assured that Ruth is so jealous of it all and she wishes some of that could rub off on her. She has no idea what happened to cause the disagreement just that it occurred and Ruth isnโt about to ask.

She likes Violet and kinda wants to be her friend but so long as this disagreement exists she canโt dive into friendship the way she normally would. That hasnโt exactly stopped the pair from some painting nights or sing-alongs where Ruth wonders at the other girlโs talents; she just canโt let everyone know about it.

Lena is chatty when they are alone and she likes that the girl isnโt too concerned with others opinions while Ruth is overtly concerned with others opinions.

Plus thereโs that one time Ruth caught a glimpse of her doodling and tried to get super chatty but was brushed off as if nothing had even been said at all. When the girl suddenly starts to exude personality Ruth is suspicious, why now and why is she gravitating toward all of Ruthโs friends.

The worst part is Catherine probably doesnโt even think of her and that makes Ruth even more of an anxious mess all over the girl who used to never speak.

All of the stories are absolutely fantastic and present a world that she can only dream of, Ruth will believe just about everything Allegra says. She sometimes feels like there are others who she should be more drawn toward but this girl is as glamorous and charming as they come.

Plus Allegra doesnโt look down on her for being a scholarship student, she supports her making clothes in her dorm room at all hours and even will wear whatever pieces catch her eye. Ruth can see the way some others look at the two of them Allegra as the rich girl and Ruth is her charity case but she doesnโt see it that way, she likes having a friend.

Sure most choir kids are a little odd but Kristina is also on cheer and she picks up the routines quicker than almost anyone else. She isnโt super chatty and often mutters in Russian but Ruth feels that there is a girl there who is compassionate and kind like herself. Plus how cool would it be to have a friend who is a Russian ballerina.

She just doesnโt get his whole sarcastic dick thing since it isnโt the most flattering portrayal for someone who (sheโs not going to deny it) is kinda cute but it isnโt her life so she doesnโt really bother too much with him.

It's weird whispers in the hallway with all her friend's raising an eyebrow at her for talking with him of all people.

So Ruth lies and pretends to know Eliza based on what everyone else says, she doesnโt add anything in conversations just โyeahsโ and โi know crazy right.โ
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐/ ๐๐๐๐๐: They donโt know each other at all, Ruth doesnโt want to attempt to get close to Eliza given her lack of memories of the girl but sheโs intrigued. Why would there be someone she doesnโt know? To Ruth Eliza is a mystery that she might be too scared to solve.
