At first glance, Zoรฉ looks like the stereotype of the rich French girl: classy, fashionable and sophisticated.

After all the Bourget-Delavergne have a certain reputation of being a respectable family and not a single mark on their surname in their centuries-old history as the biggest vineyard owners in France.

And maybe Zoรฉ really is like this, a doll living in a mansion in France whose task is smiling for the photographers and the business partners of her family business from all over the world.

Sometimes she even wondered if she even had a personality at all or if she had a purpose in life which wasnโ€™t constantly smiling.

Her family always said she had a flaw: a wild imagination.
Little Zoรฉ was often found trying to have a conversation with the lady pictured on the portrait in her bedroom, asking her parents why the lady wouldn't talk.
Her parents didnโ€™t want her child to grow up being labeled as the weird kid, but eventually she stopped asking questions.

There was a reason that nobody knows, and it's a secret that canโ€™t get out.

At first, Zoรฉ thought she found her purpose in life.
But then this secret slowly became a burden that only she, alone, can carry.

Zoรฉ has always been used to be alone, but from that moment everything changed and she would never be really alone.

Sheโ€™s a person in search of her true self and trying to understand which parts of her (lacking) personality were crafted by her familyโ€™s surname.

When she enrolled to {๐—ฅ๐—˜๐——๐—”๐—–๐—ง๐—˜๐——} she joined Drama Club as a way to set free from her family and become someone else.

Or maybe just Zoรฉ, without that pompous second name she hates and, most importantly, without the Bourget-Delavergne double surname.

    ๐๐€๐‚๐Š๐†๐‘๐Ž๐”๐๐ƒ

    Bourget-Delavergne.

The sound of this double surname is a reminder of the most genuine wines and champagnes and their centuries-old tradition.

It all started with a small patch of land.
And now, that patch of land has become metres, kilometres, acres of vineyards.

Many tried to do the same thing. But all of them failed.
All of them except the Bourget-Delavargne, who somehow managed to develop an empire without scandals or crisis.

People say that that family has something in their DNA which makes them extremely watchful in what to invest and how to run things.
Others, the jealous ones, say they are just lucky.

โ€œHundreds of years of luck? Well, thatโ€™s a lot, even for usโ€, always says Claude Bourget-Delavergne while his wife Pauline lets out a delicate laughter.

Claude and Pauline โ€” him being a charming businessman and her being the most graceful person to walk on Earth โ€” had been married for seven years when they had their first and only child: Zoรฉ Corinne Bourget-Delavergne.

Grandpa Olivier insisted for giving her a second name because โ€œtout le monde doit rappeler le prรฉnom de lโ€™heritiere Bourget-Delavergneโ€

Zoรฉ was raised to be the picture perfect daughter of one of the wealthiest and most powerful families of France โ€” poised, nice and elegant.

Growing up, Zoรฉ was constantly feeling like she was trapped in a golden cage.
That is until she found out that the cage was just painted in gold to cover its real colour โ€” bloody red.

When her parents prepared a list of schools Zoรฉ could attend to, she didnโ€™t think twice: {๐—ฅ๐—˜๐——๐—”๐—–๐—ง๐—˜๐——} was the one for just one reason: it was the farthest from her family.

Zoรฉโ€™s first memory about seeing one of them is from when she was five.

She wasnโ€™t scared when the lady of the portrait in her bedroom was standing right in front of the paining, smiling at her.

Zoรฉ tried to talk to the lady but with no avail and so she asked her father who that lady was and why she wouldnโ€™t talk to her.

Turned out the lady is Madame Vivienne Bourget-Delavergne, Zoรฉโ€™s great grandmother.
    And she wouldnโ€™t talk because โ€œportraits donโ€™t speakโ€.

The first thing the lady did was bring a finger to her own mouth.
Zoรฉ understood that she had to keep silent.

At eleven, Zoรฉ found an old photo album in which she got to know more about great grandma Vivienne.
And she also discovered that she died way before Zoรฉ was born.

So, what was she doing in her bedroom? And why are her parents convinced she's just a painting?
    Was sheโ€ฆ a ghost?

The answer finally came two years later, when Zoรฉ was thirteen, because Vivienne started talking to her in her dreams.

She explained that ghosts recognise and are attracted to the energy of someone who can see them, so they try to reach the person especially if they have something to say.
They can only communicate if they can enter the personโ€™s dreams, and if they manage to haunt them they can even show the person some of their memories.

And thatโ€™s exactly what happened with Zoรฉ.

Great grandma Vivienne warned her about her family not being the people they say they are.
She warned her until she was ready to face the truth.

Vivienne showed Zoรฉ that the business wasnโ€™t going well when Vivienneโ€™s husband, Antoine, was in charge.
There was something wrong with the numbers and after years of Bourget-Delavergne kingdom, Antoine was ready to sell the company.

Their son Olivier wasnโ€™t too keen on that โ€” he wanted to keep the name of the family at the top, where it belonged.
But Antoine had already made his decision: the Bourget-Delvergne had no future.

Who had no future though were Antoine and Vivienne because they were killed.
    By their own son.

Zoรฉ witnessed the horrifying scene and didnโ€™t sleep for days.
    She refused to know more.

Vivienne understood, so she gave her granddaughter the time she needed.
Eventually Zoรฉ came around and wanted to know the rest of the story โ€” there were still too many questions unanswered.

And so she found out that her grandpa Olivier managed to settle the accounts with some secret deals, he took care of some business partners and enemies who were threatening the wealth and the power of the Bourget-Delavergne lengthening the list of murders.

Nothing came out โ€” not the murders, not the risk of bankruptcy.

Antoine had some documents which showed the huge loss of the company but they have been falsified and the originals disappeared.
    Or thatโ€™s what Olivier thinks.

The official owner now is Claude, Zoรฉโ€™s father.
He doesnโ€™t know what his father did, Claude was only involved in some not so clear 'transactions'.

But truth is that Olivier is the one running the business behind the scenes, with the help of the least suspectable person โ€” his daughter-in-law Pauline.

    The perfect guy doesnโ€™t exis-
A smile that can light up the room. Those abs. That brain.
Hunter is was the complete package. Star of the football team, straight As, graduated with one of the top scores of {REDACTED}, a bright future ahead of him. Too good to be true, right?
What is true though is that the perfect guy doesnโ€™t exist.
    Because heโ€™s dead.

Hunter was the only man in his family and the only one who took care of his mother and little sister. His father was a drug dealer and got caught by the police. He has been in jail since Hunter was ten and his sister was three.
He didnโ€™t want to end up like him and so he worked as hard as he could to provide him and his family a better future.
Hunter managed to get a scholarship for {REDACTED} and he didnโ€™t have to think twice. He knew it was the place to be. And it really was.

    Popular, charming and smart.
    Hunter had it all.
Until one night, two months after graduation, his car crashed against a wall.
    Alcohol, the police said.
    But Hunter never drank.
He worked so much to get that perfect body that he would have never put it at risk.

Hunter is dead. And if he could talk he would swear something was definitely off with his brakes that night.
Waitโ€ฆbut he can talk. With her.

    Hunter knew he was dying.
He knew because he heard a voice saying to look for her, the only one who could help him have his life back.
And that is how Hunterโ€™s ghost had been wondering for years, looking for the girl with jet black hair and blue eyes.
He was getting tired of wandering. He was getting tired of everything.

Until he realised where to find her: the place where everything begun and everything ended. {REDACTED}.
He saw her in the corridors. They never met when he was alive because the girl started to attend {REDACTED} one year after his graduation.
Hunter though she was kinda cute. And also a loner.
He decided she needed some fun, and he appeared in the middle of the night into her room. And he talked to her.

    Zoรฉ was her name.
And she freaked out because itโ€™s true that she sees ghosts but they can talk to her only in her dreams. Whatโ€™s with this guy who keeps following her around school and talking to her non stop?
He said she can help him having his life back, so heโ€™s not as dead as the others.
Zoรฉ doesnโ€™t know how itโ€™s possible.

All she knows is that that handsome guy has become her shadow and he wants two things from Zoรฉ: solving the mystery of his car crash and protecting his little sister who just happened to be a Freshman at {REDACTED}.

After the tragedy, the school decided to grant her a scholarship in honour of her deceased brother โ€” one of the best students the school ever had.
Mia accepted because it felt like a way to feel closer to her big brother.

Hunter was her superhero and she was devastated when he died.
She just couldnโ€™t believe his brother would be so irresponsible. She never believed that.
    She refused to believe that.

So Zoรฉ watches her from afar, leaving occasional notes in her locker when no oneโ€™s watching. Those notes come mainly from Hunter, things he wants to say to her and some tips to help her at {REDACTED}.
Zoรฉ and Hunter agreed that approaching her would be pointless โ€” Mia probably wouldnโ€™t believe her if she was to tell her she sees his brother.
And so they decided to go with the notes signed โ€œA friendโ€.

    ๐๐‹๐Ž๐“๐“๐ˆ๐๐†

Daughter of the biggest French vineyard owner Bourget-Delavergne, Zoรฉ comes off as the stereotypical French girl but with a mysterious aura (maybe itโ€™s the clashing of her bright blue eyes and pale skin with her jet black hair. Maybe.).

After all sheโ€™s a great actress, keeping it all together while seeing โ€˜peopleโ€™ the others canโ€™t see must not be easy, especially after what she found out about the seemingly clean double surname Bourget-Delavregne. And letโ€™s not forget about the โ€˜disappearancesโ€™ at school.

No wonder she joined the Drama Club and stays as far away as possible from the kids of the Writing Club.

Zoรฉ is perceived as distant and at times snobby because she's often by herself โ€” as if nobody is good enough to hang with her.
Every now and then she has been caught looking at random spots with absolutely nothing (if only they knew). This also gives her an aura of mystery.
When she's on stage people are surprised at how good at acting she is, her way to represent emotions really does something to you.

    ๐–๐‡๐€๐“ ๐Š๐ˆ๐๐ƒ ๐Ž๐… ๐…๐‘๐ˆ๐„๐๐ƒ ๐€๐‘๐„ ๐“๐‡๐„๐˜

Zoรฉ never really had a friend, and she really wouldn't know how to act if she had one โ€” she would have to constantly lie about her sleepless nights, about 'zooning out', about basically being haunted... good thing she's an amazing actress.

Her parents tried to hook her up with the son of one of their most important business partners but Zoรฉ never actually liked him. Yes, they went on some dates, and it was nice but it didn't felt right. She knows though that when there's the spark she'll break down all of her walls and finally live.

Someone funny. Zoรฉ is tired of people telling her she needs to smile more (funny for someone who has always been trained to do so in front of the cameras and family business partners). She needs someone who can give her space and who's not too clingy. She has already too much stuff going on in her head.

Honestly she just needs someone who can make her feel alive, someone who's not too serious and someone who's not involved in huge family businesses. Adventures, laughters and being carefree. That's not much to ask, right?
That is, if she feels the spark.
