[NEWS] Star Beam celebrates their comeback with a 3-day showcase for a cause

    Popular girl group Star Beam celebrated their upcoming comeback through a 3-day showcase for a cause through their online musical show, STRBM THE LIVE. This meaningful celebration is part of the "Together at Home" concert series of World Health Organization and Global Citizen for raising funds for Covid-19 relief. Each heart tapped in V-Live will be equivalent to 500 won for the donation. Other than that, Star Beam' released limited edition iron patches and part of the album sales will be donated for the same cause.

    The reason why the group decided to hold their showcase in the practice room is because they are film several videos in their practice room instead of moving their furniture around at their dorm. They supposed to hold a showcon but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, their agency (MBF Entertainment) decided to hold a V-Live in the practice room. The supposed budget for the said showcon was donated to various charities in Korea instead. But they instead go for cheaper decorations for the stage setup

    Today, STRBM U.N.I (consisted of Ryuna, Chaehee, Chloe & Hyoshin), the unnie line unit performed their cuts of their upcoming album, "Spell Bound". During on of the ments, the girls stressed the importance of staying at home, hand washing, social distancing, healthy lifestyle, mental health and empathy. The girls prayed that everything will be normal once again. They also covered "Kill This Love" by BlackPink and "Hip" by Mamamoo. At the end of the V-Live, they raised 60 million Won which is equal to 120,000,000 hearts during the duration of the V-Live.

    On the same day, they released their debut song, "That Night" which is a synth pop song. In the video, the girls explored the city at night time while recovering from a breakup.

    Tomorrow, the maknae line unit, STRBM Adrenaline will take the center stage for the second day of the showcase for a cause. Their album, "Spell Bound" will be released on April 1 with the title track, "Love is Over".

    The maknae line, STRBM Adrenaline (consisted of Jeonah, Saeyoon & Yujia), performed their cuts from their upcoming album "Spell Bound". They reiterated the importance of prevention of the Covid-19. At one point, the members joked that they will not perform some of their cuts live on national television thanks to the shocking mature themes. They prayed that they will go through the pandemic. Saeyoon said that obedience can ease the burden of front liners. They also covered "Want It" by Itzy and "Whistle" by BlackPink. At the end of the V-Live, they earned 75 million Won which is equivalent to 150,000,000 hearts during the time of streaming.

    On the same time, they released their debut song, "Enemy" which is a hip-hop house hybrid. In the video, the girls showed off their edgy, gritty side during dance scenes.

    Tomorrow will be release of their album, "Spell Bound" and the MV of their title track, "Love is Over" & the last day of their fundraising showcase. The music video will have Golden Child's Bomin as their male lead.

    Star Beam unleashed their no-joke performance skills on April Fools Day by performing their cuts of "Spell Bound". Aside from their daily reminders during the Covid-19 pandemic, the girls do the unboxing of their albums which they proudly say that their album have a sticker spread designed by their maknae Yujia. The members said that the albums should be cherished because they worked so hard for this. The girls also reacted to their MV where they complimented and clowned each other

    On the same day, "Love is Over" was released. The song belonged to the tropical moombathon trap genre where it sings about breaking up. The MV poked fun at public break ups due to cheating. Golden Child's Bomin portrayed as the playboy witch hunter who tried to wreak havoc with Star Beam's hearts. Actress & Yujia's Music Bank co-MC, Shin Yeeun portrayed as Bomin's side chick in which being dragged violently twice in the course of the MV & NCT 127's Johnny was portrayed as Yujia's new boyfriend

    At the end of the V-Live, they raised 635,850,000 won which is equivalent to 1,271,700 hearts which corresponds to their debut date, January 2, 2017. During the course of their 3-day fundraising V-Live, they earned 770, 850,00 won to be donated to Global Citizen & WHO.
