𝒫𝒪𝐿𝐼𝒮𝐻𝐸𝒟 ⋆ 𝒢𝒰𝐼𝐿𝐸𝐿𝐸𝒮𝒮 ⋆ 𝑀𝐸𝐿𝒜𝒩𝒞𝐻𝒪𝐿𝐼𝒞

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ His blindness has given him a lack of understanding of other people’s lives; he is very “woe is me” and feels like no one else could understand him, so he has stopped trying to relate to people.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Lysander hates liars and lying by omission. He used to enjoy a good prank or a secret, but now he can't stand them. Why lie when there's already so much of the world that doesn't make sense? Clarity is Lys' favorite quality in other people, especially if they're self-aware enough to acknowledge their faults and secrecies. He tries to live as he preaches, and he's always honest and open about who he is.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He wears his emotions on his sleeve, resulting in him being easily read and manipulated. Despite his sage-like mentality, he struggles to know when people are his true friends and when they’re liars in disguise (despite hating liars). He pretends he's intuitive, but he isn't. Lysander could be seen to be tone-deaf and unwavering when it comes to general niceties. If he's angry, he'll probably continue to stomp around like a toddler even if it's your birthday party.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Lysander has become negative. This is due to the above “woe-is-me” state that he’s in. He’s felt that life is not perfect for one of the first few times in his life, and because of that, he’s struggling to manage. He’d always been wise before; the smartest of his family, with a unique perspective, but he cannot seem to figure out why bad things happen to seemingly good people. There isn’t a reason for it. He’s reverted to immature phrasing in an attempt to hide his insecurity but instead has only heightened it. He knows this too, but he’ll deign to bring it up.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He constantly has an inner-voice telling him when he's being dishonest or going against his moral standards. However, he's too put together to acknowledge these faults. He's learned that when people think you're at peace with who you are, they don't tell you when they have a problem with you. Or at least, you attract the right people. If only he didn't keep them at a distance.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Still, Lysander doesn't know when he's offended people (other than when he's made an active choice to do something wrong). If someone brings up a time when he was "acting like a total wanker," Lys often responds with a blank, confused expression. He needs people to be direct with him to understand their point, especially if they have a problem with him.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Before his blindness, Lysander was light-hearted and could be seen as part of the group that was the life of the party. Hell, he even liked being around his brother then, and the pair used to come up with the silliest dares that entertained their friends. Now, he’s started to look more and more like the depressed version of his mom. He sticks to himself and when he does interact with people, he’s odd and awkward, often leaving the person he talks to with a depressing, yet honest, thought or long periods of silence.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Lysander, although he has always had his silly side, prefers things neat and tidy. He doesn’t want to come across to people as anything other than in-charge of his life. He’ll lie if it means people see him as put-together. Even though he can come across as saddened, he is always in an ironed robe or suit with polished cufflinks and Oxfords. His speech is always eloquent and straight-forward, except for in moments where a metaphor is clearer than elaborate examples. Lysander always looks put together, as though everything about him is purposeful... until you see beyond the surface.

B I O G R A P H Y

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Before the events of 2016-2017, the Scamander-Lovegood family was a tight-knit group, often living in complete harmony. Sure, there were upsets with each other given Lorcan’s free-spirit and Lysander’s polished way of living, but they never fought for more than a few days (outside of the time that Lorcan made out with one of their friends, who Lysander had a bit of a crush on {That person would be Omar, but if someone wants him & doesn't like the idea of Lysander, Lorcan, Omar, Natasha, and Molly being friends, this can be subject to change}). Their parents were well-matched for each other, given they had a long-standing working relationship before they discovered each other’s romantic feelings. They knew how to resolve any conflict, especially amongst the twins and with each other. Their marriage created Lysander’s image of the perfect, true love while his brother often expressed annoyance at their perfection.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ After his father’s imprisonment, his idea of the perfect family crumpled, ultimately leaving him with a pessimistic outlook (when, prior to this, he was the one who encouraged people to live fully because it would all work out in the end). It felt as though his father died, given that Lysander still doesn’t know if Rolf was falsely accused or a true criminal. It’s awful, not knowing. Luna, his mother, won’t give him anything except blank stares and the occasional, exciting breakfast (if it’s the summer) or Howler (if he’s at Hogwarts). Lorcan never looks him in the eye, and besides that, he hasn’t been known to attend any of their shared classes. Nobody can give him a straight answer, and Lysander is growing impatient, set to find things out for himself. No matter the danger.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ As one might imagine, Lysander is incredibly lonely. His brother seems to just fade in and out of life with little concern for their family, especially Lysander. Since he went blind in 2016, Lorcan keeps as much distance between them as possible. However, Lys doesn’t know why, and it has caused him to believe all their friends from before having a weird vendetta against Lysander. As though he’s cursed. The Quibbler revealing his father’s Azkaban sentence didn’t help. He felt that people were intentionally staying far away from him, so he ultimately pushed them away, hoping to have some sense of control over his life.

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ He wants to believe that his stupid blindness is a sign of greater things, as though he could be Superman of the Wizarding World. No such sign has come, at least not obviously. The only thing it has brought him is a quest for knowledge and trust and pain and heartbreak. Now, Lys is stuck in a world of secrets, a world he doesn’t even know the dimensions or rules of. All he knows is what plagues him daily, and how he just wishes life would go back to normal.

T H E ⋆ E X T E N D E D ⋆ C A S T

⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ {These are all existing characters that I have chosen to "claim" though not play, so if you have ideas/want them for your own, please don't hesitate to tell me! I'm flexible and I'd really love to work with other people concerning these characters!} Before, Lys had friends. He and Lorcan had a whole friend group that did fruitless yet fun activities, like biting the heads off chocolate frogs or attending James' parties. Obviously, that all changed, but before, they were his second family and the people he valued most in the world.

𝓞𝓶𝓪𝓻 𝓢𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓪-𝓢𝓱𝓪𝓬𝓴𝓵𝓮𝓫𝓸𝓵𝓽

{𝐸𝒮𝒞𝒜𝒫𝐼𝒮𝒯 ⋆ 𝐿𝒜𝒵𝒴 ⋆ 𝒮𝒰𝒜𝒱𝐸}

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: Despite being a year younger, it's Omar who started Farhiya down the path of bad intentions. In fact, he's the source of rebellion for everyone who's ever had the pleasure of knowing him. He's been enamored by rebellion since before he could walk. Thus, he can be found at many a rally or boycott (he was the one who started the great Porridge Protest of 2014; he won and now Hogwarts offers instant oatmeal students prepare for themselves instead of the dwarves). Omar was always the one to investigate something scary (such as the monsters under his bed) or ask one million questions about the nature of the universe. His curiosity as a child turned into a kleptomaniac tendency. Still, Omar can be found studying astronomy and holding onto his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut/space philosopher. Yet, Omar refuses to accept that he can't have everything he wants. He has major youngest-child syndrome where he believes the entire world will spoil and humor him like his parents. Whether through his charm or five-finger discount, he always gets what he wants because he's never really been told "No!". But the older he gets, the more dissatisfied he becomes. Why work towards his dreams when they seem so stupid, so infinitesimal compared to others when he can get by just fine the way he lives now? Except things aren't fine, but they're never fine. And it doesn't help that he doesn't really want to work for anything, seeing as there's no point. When will people just start handing him things on a silver platter like he deserves?

𝑅𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝐿𝓎𝓈𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇: Having been friends since Lysander's first year at Hogwarts, one could argue that Lys' crush on Omar was his sexuality realization. He fell easily and swiftly for the older boy, the person who practically taught Lys everything about Hogwarts (including how to get into the Forbidden Forest without getting caught). However, he still has never told Omar this and doesn't plan to. Hell, the two don't even talk now, and Omar hasn't made any attempts to talk to him since Lysander cussed him out. Plus, their friendship (considering the pair used to be attached at the hip. In fact, Omar was the one who dared Lys to pretend to be a professor for a day, amongst the plethora of dares and truths they had over the past few years. It was the first game they played at a Quidditch victory party in the Ravenclaw common room, and they haven't stopped since.) hasn't been the same since Lorcan made out with Omar and 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇 revealed to the entirety of Hogwarts, in particular Lysander, what the two had done. Granted, Omar explained that it was a one-time thing, that he wasn't "into that gay shit" (although, after a beat, he did add "...but it's totally cool that you are!") and that they were just drunk and thought why not! That was the last time he and Lys talked about anything other than superficialities. It wasn't the same -knowing his best friend, the guy he was practically in love with- liked his twin brother better. Or at least trusted Lorcan enough to experiment with. Still, even if Omar pretends otherwise, Lys has seen him on more than one occasion with both men and women. Or maybe it's his imagination. Hell, he can't see so who knows! {Omar's sexuality is another case where I'm open to suggestions/interpretations if someone wants to have him. I'd like him to be bi for Lys' story arc, but I'm willing to change it so someone gets to fully explore Omar! I don't want to limit people :)}

𝓜𝓸𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓦𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓵𝓮𝔂

{𝐸𝐵𝒰𝐿𝐿𝐼𝐸𝒩𝒯 ⋆ 𝒩𝐸𝒜𝑅𝒮𝐼𝒢𝐻𝒯𝐸𝒟 ⋆ 𝐼𝒩𝒯𝐸𝒩𝒮𝐸}

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: Percy Weasley has no idea what to do with his eldest. She’s out of control. Molly starts fights at school, so much so that she nearly got expelled. But when she bats her little eyelashes at him and tells him how she only did it because someone made fun of her cousin, he can’t stay mad for long. He just wishes for once that she would think about the future instead of throwing a punch in the moment. Almost everyone was surprised that she decided to attend Hogwarts for university, but her heart is set on being an Auror. When they didn’t hire her right out the gate, she only became more resolved than ever to see her dream come true. People might think she is the brawn of the Wotters, but she is much more than that. Her intelligence doesn’t necessarily translate into grades, but her naturally understanding core keeps her grounded. There's nothing that will stand in Molly's way when she's determined enough, especially when it comes to those she cares about. Maybe it's a little invasive, but you simply can't keep secrets from her. This is especially if you're in danger, then she's the best person to have on deck. She has street smarts, and she gets shit done.

𝑅𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝐿𝓎𝓈𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇: As the youngest of the clan, Molly joined them accidentally. She accidentally punched out Lorcan after he teased her about her arse. Given that she doesn't stand for misogyny, she turned to brawn and won. Well, to be clear, she won the respect of Natasha and Lysander, who find Lorcan's offensiveness both charming and... well... offensive. From her first year onward, she hung with the "older kids" (although she still can be seen with the Wotters regularly, including Fred II, James, etc.) and was often the ire of many of her peers. At meals, she'd sneak over to Natasha and Lorcan's table and share an anecdote about her Uncle George or eat with Omar and Lysander, listening to the two's advice concerning her recent crush. Everyone, including Lorcan, supported her through all of her trials and tribulations, ranging from her alienation from her Hufflepuff friends (and even her family members) to her first heartbreak. It's hard to imagine her life without them, so Lys' leaving of the group hit her hardest. She didn't survive all the snickers and bratty finger-pointing to have one of her closest friends just stop being friends with her! Lysander used to tell her everything, given that she'd fight for him every chance she gets. Now, she still checks up on him, even if it involves stalking him or threatening the nearest third year.

𝓝𝓪𝓽𝓪𝓼𝓱𝓪 𝓜𝓬𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓰𝓰𝓮𝓷

{𝑅𝐼𝒯𝒰𝒜𝐿𝐼𝒮𝒯𝐼𝒞 ⋆ 𝒰𝑅𝐵𝒜𝒩𝐸 ⋆ 𝑀𝐸𝐿𝐿𝒪𝒲}

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: As the resident Maev Wiley of Hogwarts (ever since the show came out in January 2019, kids won't stop snickering whenever she brings up the masterpiece that is The Tennant of Wildfell Hall or how much of a Jane Austen stan she is), Natasha is often seen in two ways: uptight or chill. There's very little in-between, unfortunately, and she will cut off your balls (metaphorical or literal) if you ever tell her to "chill the fuck out" and probably tell you that you're just intimidated by her stature and honesty. Natasha is filled with modern sensibilities and a little too overly excited about the Muggle world (despite being a pureblood, but she doesn't like to talk about the hypocrisy of that), but she's also the calmest person in times of crisis. Or, in Potions when everyone else is freaking out about how they put too much powdered Bicorn horn or fluxweed. She's the voice of reason and logic, but she also knows when to be in the moment. Natasha can often be found in the Slytherin common room or in her dorm practicing dhyana or discussing the importance of self-discovery above all else. Yet, she doesn't hope to become the next Ram Dass except for British folks. Instead, she desires to become a famous politician or, at the very least, a successful writer, particularly related to existentialism (and yes, another one of her personal heroes is Simone de Beauvoir). Above all, she hopes to be part of the reason why the interpretation of Slytherins changes from elitist pigs to ambitious darlings.

𝑅𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝐿𝓎𝓈𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇: Natasha has always been the mellow of the group, the calm of the storm. Dealing with a multitude of intense personalities, she's the mediator. She doesn't like being the one to fix everyone's problems (when will she get her time in the spotlight?) but she can't help it. She'd rather everyone be happy than to cause upset by talking about herself. Perhaps that's why Lorcan doesn't know how hopelessly in lust she is with him (Natasha refuses to call is love. It isn't! It can't be.). She just knows that together, they could do wonderful and fantastic things, even if they're illegal. That brings us to her involvement with Lys' blindness. Granted, she didn't cause it, but she did help Lorcan get the supplies for the potions he was brewing at the time of the explosion that caused his blindness. Even though Natasha has always stood up for herself, she can't help but follow Lorcan everywhere, and his behavior the past few years have scared the absolute shit about of her. Sure, she should've checked in on Lys, brought him back into the fold, but how can she? Natasha still looks at Lorcan with puppy-dog eyes, and Lysander is the only one who knows why. She can't lie to the person she's the most honest with.

𝓛𝓸𝓻𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓢𝓬𝓪𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻

{𝒟𝒜𝑀𝒜𝒢𝐸𝒟 ⋆ 𝒮𝐸𝒩𝒮𝐼𝒯𝐼𝒱𝐸 ⋆ 𝐼𝒩𝒯𝐸𝒩𝒮𝐸}

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: Lorcan used to be a know-it-all jackass who didn’t care for anyone else. He was embarrassed by his mother, hated all of her stories, and did anything he could to distance himself from anything “whacky.” He used to be full of life and soul, often planning epic dares or helping with the party planner for the Slytherins' Quiddich victories. He was vibrant, and he was the force of wonder for a lot of younger students. Lorcan lived freely, though not in the way his mother did. He still came across as an all-star asshole, a stereotypical white boy from the '80s, but he was more than that. But after Lysander’s accident, he’s become like a shadow. Except there’s much more to the story than that. Lorcan was experimenting with illegal, dangerous potions. Their father discovered the project and tried to get rid of it, but the authorities had already found out. Rolf took the fall, and now he rots in Azkaban. Luna might actually be going crazy, and his twin is blind due to . . . Lorcan's own actions that he still hasn't been honest about. He never meant to bring his family into the shady underground world. He simply got in over his head, allowed his ideas of greatness to lead him astray. No one really knows how bad it is, how he doesn't care about getting a further degree at Hogwarts. He just wants the safety that its charms provided. The only place he can finally breathe is inside its enchanted grounds. At least, until Lysander looks at him across class and then he starts to wonder if it's really worth it.

𝑅𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝐿𝓎𝓈𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇: Ah. Lorcan. He used to be the life force of the group... and the one that caused the most conflict. He just never learned to keep his mouth shut, always over-compensating for his mother's image of sweet weirdness. He thought that by being loud, boisterous, and confident he could appear less like her. People might forget about Luna Lovegood's troublesome son and see Lorcan as who he is: a bit intense, a daredevil, yet extremely lovable. That was until he got involved with a shady organization, making potions. Then he threw his family's entire life down the toilet and pulled the handle. He can barely look Lys in the eye these days, and he hates the badgering he gets from Molly about "what the actual fuck happened, you idiot!" The way Natasha and Omar look at him is no better. Especially Omar. It's like he knows what he did. 𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝓁 𝐼𝓃𝒻𝑜𝓇𝓂𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃: Scorpius was raised to keep his head down. His parents assured him again and again that his last name would be like a target on his back; no one would ever trust him. Even when he was too young to safely know the information, Scorp snuck into his family's expansive library and read everything he could about the war. He couldn't believe all of the terror that was done on behalf of purebloods. Knowing he was such a symbol of elitism ate away at him. With his family wealth and two grand bloodlines once again converging in his veins, he felt like a symbol for what Voldemort's side fought for. He felt evil. Being placed in Slytherin only confirmed his worst fears: Scorpius could never be more than what he was born as. Without realizing how great of an ambition it was to change his family reputation, without seeing the cunning that went into his calculated moves, Scorpius tried to embody what the world actually needed: more genuine kindness.

𝑅𝑒𝓁𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝐿𝓎𝓈𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓇: {currently, @.monkeymanda has full ownership of Scorp & everything here is subject to changed upon further plotting} The most recent friend of Lysander, Scorpius is just as surprised about their kinship as the rest of you. Not that he's the exact opposite person (he isn't a Wotter, after all), but there's approx. three years between them, and Lysander is so. Sad. All the damn time. Sure, he has his good moments where the two can crack a joke here and there, but it's still odd. He happened to be nice to him once, and here he is, working with Lys regularly. He keeps asking Scorpius about his father, the war, and pretty much everything from Harry Potter's birth to Voldemort's last Horcrux. Scorpius feels like their relationship is more of a chore than anything, but as was earlier mentioned, there are good moments. For instance, they're supposed to go get butterbeers after Lys "looks into something in the Restricted Section."

⋆ ⋆ Lysander has always learned everything (well, almost everything... everything of interest) before his peers. He spends most summers at his desk, keeping his brother up when they used to share a room, learning next year's expected materials. New charms, history, or denfense strategies. He tries to learn it all so he can spend his time at Hogwarts perfecting these skills. Even though he has absolutely no idea what to do with his life.

⋆ ⋆ He, in part, blames himself for his blindness. Not in any way that he can particularly explain, because he knows he didn't do anything exactly wrong, but still. It's this feeling he gets, like when he used to see the Thestrals, that he's to blame for something. It's more of a niggling at the back of his neck, like when the hair stands up, than anything. He's never revealed this to anyone, intent upon keeping this feeling under wraps until he can fully understand it. If he can ever.

⋆ ⋆ In stereotypical Ravenclaw-fashion, Lysander loves reading. He has sent numerous letters to the kind elves that take time out of their day to read the required course readings to him/record them for all the blind witches and wizards out there. He can be found in the kitchen, softly asking Zimsey, a house elf who Lys befriended when he first went blind, to read to him his coursework instructions or transcribe his essay. Zimsey has always wanted to be a teacher, ever since her original master's daughter allowed them to learn together. The only thing that stopped her from becoming one is obvious: she can't go to Hogwarts... or any other magic school for that matter. It's not like there's a school for elves. Working with Lys is a reprieve from work she isn't passionate about. They're a fantastic team, especially because Zimsey has gotten to teach Lys braille while also learning a lot from his coursework.

⋆ ⋆ He loves the show Noragami & he's listened to the audio-book version of the manga at least three times. He has a stan Instagram just for it.

⋆ ⋆ Secretly wishes houses didn't exist. They're antiquated labels with a bunch of sordid history, but still, he uses them to judge people before he's gotten to know them, just like everyone else. Yet, he and Molly used to make everyone in their little group go to the Hogwarts-wide house-bonding activities.

⋆ ⋆ Interestingly enough, his favorite color isn't blue. It's pastel purple.

⋆ ⋆ Loves puppies but never got one. He has owned several pygmy puffs.

⋆ ⋆ So, you probably want to know lil Lys' sexual awakening. Well, it began back in Second Year when Omar and Natasha kept teasing him, telling him he should ask Molly out since she obviously liked him (this has never been confirmed nor denied by Molly). Lysander realized that while Molly is extremely beautiful (anyone with eyes could admit most every Wotter was hot to some degree) and has an equally stunning personality, he didn't want to be with her. Then he started looking at Nat. Same feeling. Then he looked at Omar, and all bets were kind of off after that. One could argue Lysander's been in love with him since the beginning of Fourth Year (about two years after he realized he is gay). {This should probably be in the biography section, but it isn't necessarily pertinent information since I'm going to explore this in Lys' stories}

⋆ ⋆ His favorite insult is imbecile, but he prefers to say it in Spanish (imbécil, but with the c pronounced like a "th"). However, he doesn't use it a lot because people tend to laugh when he's trying to be serious (which, unfortunately, nowadays, he's serious all the damn time). He only uses it when he's joshing around with his friends. Needless to say, "imbécil" doesn't happen much anymore.

⋆ ⋆ His favorite song is Bravado by Lorde

⋆ ⋆ Sometimes, he wonders why he wasn't put in Slytherin. But then other times he wonders why not Hufflepuff? Gryffindor?

⋆ ⋆ Luna, being the queen she is, took Lys to therapy after he expressed concerning feelings towards his life and how "useless" it felt. This was back in 2014, and he still sees Dr. Sherman on a bi-weekly basis. He actually takes anti-anxiety medication after being diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder in 2015. Of course- Dr. S doesn't know about him being a wizard or where his dad is or why his mom, who used to come to every appointment, never comes anymore. He gives her as many half-truths as possible, but sometimes he skips a session because it gets too hard to lie to her.

⋆ ⋆ Lys kind of thrives off of chaos. Just a little bit. Even though he also claims to hate it. But... look at his friends! (or... well... ex-friends...)

⋆ ⋆ Lys doesn't actually hate 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇. In fact, he sees it as a force of good. People can't keep their shit on lock, and they shouldn't hide anything, even if it's awful. It's nice to see that there are some consequences for lying.

⋆ ⋆ However, that doesn't mean 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇 don't have beef. In fact, Lysander is kind of hypocritical, considering he hates it when his secrets are revealed. He believes they aren't that bad, but he fails to realize that everyone who's exposed would say the same thing.

⋆ ⋆ When 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇 exposed him in 2015 (for the first time), Lys was deeply cross and frustrated with the stupid app. Ravenclaw didn't have House Points deducted or anything, but it took what was a private joke amongst him, Omar, Lorcan, Natasha, and Molly and gave everyone the ability to laugh at it. It wasn't a lie when he decided to "hide it" from people. {Again, he fails to see how no one likes being exposed, yet he sees it as necessary for everyone except him}

⋆ ⋆ The 2017 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇 exposés were much less of a shock to Lys, given that they were kind of meaningless and came from recent events. They're emotional things for him, but they weren't like his dare. He didn't want to talk to anyone in particular about his dad's imprisonment nor his blindness. In fact, he didn't want to talk to anyone. If there was anything to write home about 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇 it was that some random strangers kept asking him if "he was okay?" and "is there any way I can help?". Most people, except maybe Molly and Omar, got the point after a while. Lysander didn't want to talk to anyone.

⋆ ⋆ Interestingly enough, Lys finds 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇's ability to read the future (especially with the Sept. 20th reveal) the most interesting part about the program. How is it better at Divination than he is? When he's been practicing for years?

Since 2016, Lys has become obsessed with revealing the future. However, even after years of studying, he still can't successfully engage with his "psychic abilities" he's convinced he has. Hell, he can't even deduce a prophecy from tea leaves much less stare into a crystal ball and comprehend the complexities of the universe. Still, people assume he's above-average at it when he really isn't. He usually just makes up futures for people, knowing that he has no clue what it's saying. Thank god that their professor doesn't really know how to read the future either and takes Lys' word for it. Confidence can get you anywhere.

There was one time where a lower levels kid asked him about his prophecy, and Lysander was found out as a fraud. And it didn't even take 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒬𝓊𝒾𝒷𝒷𝓁𝑒𝓇!

━━━━━━ 𝕋ℝ𝔸ℕ𝕊𝔽𝕀𝔾𝕌ℝ𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ ━━━━━━

Surprisingly, the Ministry of Magic gave Lysander the clearance to create an Animagus. Unfortunately, it's a baby polar bear. Because that really works out well when you want to sneak through small spaces or appear like you're in a "natural" element. Lys calls this a sick joke on the behalf of Pettigrew's ghost.

That isn't to say it doesn't have a ton of use. It's actually fun to break out at parties (which he doesn't go to anymore, but we don't need to point that out) and it always makes his mom (and his dad when he sees him through the bars of his Azkaban cell) laugh. Although he can't sneak around easily, he does have strange "fly on the wall" capabilities considering most people think he's a statue when he's still enough. Lys has also helped Molly more than once scare off a bully with his Animagus.

━━━━━━ 𝕃𝔼𝔾𝕀𝕃𝕀𝕄𝔼ℕℂ𝕐 ━━━━━━

The thing that Lys is the best at. He can't really be relied on to react to your emotions properly, but he can see what you're thinking with ease. Perhaps this is what his blindness was meant for- so he could see through others- but it's still a sick joke. Like his whole life.

Besides the infamous (and perhaps wildly beloved) Snape, Lysander is probably the best legitlimist {Let's pretend that's the word for a person who does Legilimency tehe} Hogwarts has seen in recent years. Yet, no one is really aware of this, and it often works in Lys' favor. The number of tests he's cheated on (yes, not very Ravenclaw, but there's a reason why he wonders if he wasn't put in the wrong House), the number of crushes he's seen reject him without a single word (he can't bring himself to do it to Omar. Lys is fine without knowing anything about how he feels. Besides- Omar would totally be able to tell), etc. Without Legilimency, Lysander wouldn't be the person he is today- for worse or for better.
